What it said in the first post was:
“All you need to do is design a logo that fits in with the rest of the place. Flash5 and anything else can be used, just TRY and keep it's size down a bit as the page will take forever to load.”
So I designed my logo, and won. Tom then said:
I think Andi's logo already feels like it's at home. Nice one dude. Like I said with Rob, whoever wins I'll give you a DVD up to £20 outta me own money.

Now I receive this e-mail from him:
The logo didn't meet the required specifications as after much thought, we came to the conclusion that it was 1mm too wide therefore, invalid. Please kindly take your logo and firmly lodge it up your ar*e.
So, what do you vote I do? I’m in the process of posting this on all the forums I know he uses, and I’ll e-mail a copy to SR. I’m also currently writing an e-mail to his hosts to see if they’ll do anything, for I don’t like to be messed around..
Oh and Tom, I have numerous screenshots to prove your site used my logo, so don’t get any bright ideas.
The account must have been suspended, because I get nothing - just a box requiring authorisation to access the site.
> And he signs his devastating post with a lone capital A. What does it mean? What does it stand for?
Nobody knows... nobody cares...
Alan.
:-D
Good morning Dr Porn!:-) I was actually about to write something else, but coincedentally it's also the inital of my first name!:-)
Nobody knows... nobody cares...
Alan.
:-D
> By the way, just to keep you informed, I've just recieved an e-mail from Supanames stating that they'll claim £20 + VAT or the DVD on my behalf and suspend the hosting of View & Play until I get it. Result!!
Nice one... Nice to see a helpful ISP.
>Thanks very much Tyla, I did what you siad and sent them what you told me I could use as evidence and they were happy to help.
Mr Nice Guy picked the wrong forum to P*SS OFF as well as the wrong people. I hope this will teach him a valuable lesson.
I too am waiting to hear from Gameplay about NG's use of their imagery. I was speaking to the web guy over there yesterday and he was quite surprised when he saw the site and the amazing similarities in the main navigation.
I'm glad I could be of some usefullness...
Keep us posted if you hear any more...

> WHAT THE HELL HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH ANYTHING?!? Are you suddenly saying that I've got their details and have been handing them out to third parties? Or, I've been plotting things behind their backs? LOL!!
It means:
Any form of collecting darta online through registration forms or email subbmissions have to be stored on a disc somewhere, because of this, this data has to be audited and belonhs to the person who submitted it in the first place...
Your registration form for the forums must store the captured data somewhere on a server for things like validation etc. Because of this, you now posess the personal details of "X" amount of people, and because of this, you have to comply with the 2001 data protection act.
You, I assume are the *cough*web master*cough*, which according to your statement, makes you the person responsible for this data and that if anyone was to discover that you haded it out to anyone else (even an email) you could have your @rse kicked into oblivion. Ihave never said that you WERE handing them out, I was merely pointing out that you failed to comply with the DPA2001 and that anyone who was interested in using your forums should understand the imlications of this...
I could go on about the new DPA all day, afterall, it's part of my job... But information is a powerful thing, and if anyone really wanted to annoy you they could submit a DPA request to you for any information you held on then. This varys from anything submitted on your site to any emails/corespondanse where you may have mantioned their name.
This was all pointed out because of you "Illegitimate" legal statement on your site, a legal statement which wouldn't cover toast let alone your @rse.
It'a fairly obvious from your site that you have no idea what your doing nor what the ramifications would be if it blew up in your face.... We all sit here poised to see what happens next!

"While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator
and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised."
This basically means that Mr Calahan can hand out anyones details if he so chooses, which under the new terms of the DPA is illegal and leaves him open for legal proceeding...
If any of you want to know what's been said about you in the forums or what he has been using your information for, all youhave to do is submit a request for this information to him and legally he has to supply all information containing you details, from emails to records, within 40 days! Faliure to do so will leave him open to procecution and the shutting down of his site...
A lesson to you Mr Calahan... Learn your legal stuff first, asit's obvious from your site that you have no idea what your doing or the likely implications these will have on
you...
WHAT THE HELL HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH ANYTHING?!? Are you suddenly saying that I've got their details and have been handing them out to third parties? Or, I've been plotting things behind their backs? LOL!!
: )
Well done on getting this sorted guys. Maybe us little people won't get stepped on by those... equally little people so much if we all take this lead.
