OK, I havent played GT2K to THE FINISH But I have played it ALOT (Loads of free demos have appeard)
Im looking foward to about 21 of those DC games and think of them as essential but I only find one PS2 game essential, MGS2, AT THE MOMENT....I could change...
And my point that I was making when I named all those stunning games was that they were out now....

And Crash is coming to the GC!

>HAHAH, NO! Definitely not, not only are Tekken Tag and GT2000 BIG disappointments (trust me , I have played them to the finish)

Am I the only one who detects a bit of winding up/fibbing here? GT2000 is still in development at the moment, and *no-one* has even SEEN a complete, full version - let alone played it to the finish!

>but the also are the only games that u seem to be LOOKING FORWARD TO...

And you've never looked forward to a game on Dreamcast?

All the games on the DC u mentioned are out and Shenmue, Quake 3, Half Life and 49 new games before Christmas are all coming... 49 to 3???

And how many of those 49 do you consider absolutely essential purchases?

DC has a track record - PS2 is unreleased here. The games catalogue is an unfair comparison at this stage; by your reckoning, the PS2 is better than both the Cube and the X-Box because they have zero games available at the present time!

Also, with regard to the '4-player games' post... they are considering a 4-player option for GT2000.

ERRR Incorrect answer!
MGS is being made for X-box, unknown if it will be MGS2 or not, but its gonna be cool whatever it is!
Also, do you need two PS2's to play four player?

Richt can I correct you straight away, there are TWO games at launch that will be 4 player- these will be Timesplitters and Unreal Tournament. Also, for anything about X-Box check out www.computerandvideogames.com- that should give you all the info you want. No exact date for release- but if you want MGS2, youre just going to have to get a PS2, its exclusive to that system!

The only problem with the PSX2 it has no 4 player games(that I know of) and usually thats the only reason I invite my mates over, to have a laugh on CTR.Does anyone know anything about the X box because its driving me crazy, I dont know what games are on it,When its being released or what it even looks like so tell me

Ive seen all the PS2 UK launch titles, I aint slow, and none impress.
But the money I gained from selling my PS2 will buy me an Xbox, Gamecube and hopefully a PS2 later when it goes down.
But i still think its sad if MGS2 is all you want..
Cus youll think it is the best game you have ever played......
Untill you complete it and get bored..

Tigerblade, you have to remember that the European PS2 launch titles are going to be much better quality than the Japanese copies youve "played to death". To be honest, Ive played Tekken Tag Tournament too, and I was quite impressed with it, even though it did seem a bit rushed. I think that will change. I personally think that everyone will buy the PS2 for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty which WILL be a PS2 exclusive and that will put the nail in the coffin. I think that you should save up your pennies, keep your DC for now and wait to pick out of X-Box, PS2 and Gamecube, youll have a lot more choice at the end of next year, and have a good look at the quality of PS2 games as well as the ones on the new systems.

I'd say no. If you can afford a PS2, get one - if you're already thinking the games are worth it, then you won't be disapopinted.

But if you like your DC, keep it - at least until you know one way or the other which (if any) you prefer.
