What you expect sony to put a £600 DVD with a console that is about £200 for 300? next i suppose u will want the DC to make great games

Or you could just play on a friends PS2 and if you like it get it and when the x_box comes out decide if you wanna buy that
The unbiased part of me says keep the Dreamcast another year (giving the PS2 plenty of time get bring out some classics) and THEN decide which console seems to be the best buy.
I'll get a Gamecube either way but it doesn't mean that YOU have to.
