Currently i am Sheffield Wednesday in the year 2030. This is the furthest I have ever got in any champ man game! THe other ones used to stop after 2026. Anyone know when it does end? If ever?
Anyways, whats the most you have sold someone for? Mine is £88M. Well chuffed with that sale. It was one of my home grown players as well. Came through the reserves and was a great hit.
Might go back soon.......
I maybe on my way to the double.....3 or 4 games until it is mine
OOOOHHHHHHH, yyyyyyeeeeeessssss!!!!!!!!

Blessing in disguise maybe though, or might never have gone to work!
Laptop really dislikes the display and it comes out far to big.
Put it onto PC too and it looks good but is pretty slow.
Van Nistelrooy is injured for me though, and my only signing Roy Makaay is injured as well! Both bloody injured playing for Holland. Good thing is though, you can actually pull your players out of internationals now or give instructions for them to only play 45 mins. Which is nice.
2d match engine is very cool. Actually much better than i would have thought. It just cuts in when ever thier is a major highlight in the game, or you can have it to follow extended highlights or none at all. You can see where you have gone wrong in your tactics when the opposition score and all the space you have given them.
Back to the game...
The SI Games site is understandably a nightmare to get on to at the moment, I managed to get on and there are some mirror sites for those that can't get on.The first address is the SI Games DL page, that lists the mirros sites (there are actually 14 mirror sites, I've not listed all of them because they don't all appear to work, but that could be because of my work firewall)
The second SI address is the direct link to the demo itself, which might get you there a bit quicker.

The file size is about 30mb, estimated at nearly three hours for those with a dtandard dial up modem.
Note that, there are two instances that will cause the game to crash when playing, these are...
In team screens when you go to any other view apart from the traditional and sort, the game crashes.
In fixture screens, when you click on show next fixture and a team has no next fixture, the game crashes.
I've looked on the SI forums, and it does look like the demo is still pretty messy, even for a beta release demo. Nothing disasterous, but you might encounter a few problems. General feedback on their site is that it rules!! From what I've read it seems that the 2D match display gives an excellent feel to how your team is performing, making those tactical decisions much, much easier to make. I can't play it at the moment, as I'm at work (Curses).
Roll on 4pm!!

Assuming you a) know the filename b) it's updated to show the relevant mirrors and c) that the site still exists...
Anyone been playing on it? What's it like?
