How many shops have you been in this Christmas and seen PS2 games being sold for £29.99 or less. Comet, Dixons, PC World they are all at it and the reason they can afford to sell PS2 games at that price is the fact they can offset the price against the many more sales they will get for that particular title.
Then ask yourself how many Xbox and GC titles you see for these sort of prices Sony make gaming affordable hell they even have Platinium games that are £20 or 2 of £30 in a lot of places.

I like PS2, I'll defend it, if and Xbox or GC fans says something horrible, I'l call them a geek or a sad little child, just to keep with the stereotype. However, I would keep facts right. If I were to say Xbox was less popular, I would use facts and figures. I would speak the truth, and would not be afraid to admit any merits int he other consoles. I enjoy GC's more unique style of games, and I have played Halo with friends and every session makes the game grow on you. GC has good controllers, Xbox's controllers aren't as bad as you all make out. Xbox and GC are fine consoles. Just because PS2 sells more and has more games, it doesn't mean it is radically better. Okay, PS2 is my favourtie console - MY FAVOURITE console. My opinion.
