"The Claim to Fame Thread"

Come on most people have one, what is your claim to fame, Something noticable you have done (mainly media). Ie i was on Jim'll fix it. Famous people you met or perhaps used to know. IE i used to have ballet lessons with MR T or I was in the diving club at my local pool with Jurgen Klinnsman. The funnier the better. Try to keep them true as well, I was voted most wanted man in supermodel monthly is unlikely to be believed, along with i pulled Kelly Brook. Any outrageous ones which can be backed up with evidence of some sort, such as i was the man who attacked John Prescott with photo or online news paper article will be most impressive. Obviously proof is not essential and a good (true) story is just as fun. At the end (although it probably won't happen as with most of these things) we shall try to discern who hindeed has the best claim to fame.

My sister has traced our family tree a long way back and i am indeed related to guy fawkes

Not exactly a claim to fame, but Im pretty chuffed about this.

I once got to sit inside K.I.T.T, you know, from Knight Rider. Its really cool inside it with all those weird buttons and gadgets.

The reason Im so chuffed is because I was the only person that got permission to have a seat in it. I think it was because I got to talking about the old Knight Rider episodes for ages with one of the guys that was involved with the show.

I appeared in the Official Liverpool F.C 1996/97 calender! It was a picture of Steve McManaman and I was in the crowd in the background! Just for the record it was against Sunderland and we drew 0-0!

I was in two Glynebourne Operas and got £312 out of it - one of which was directed by Peter Hall.

I basicly read, played on the GB, got free food, had mud fights and slept all day.

Oh, and did some rehersing in between! :)

I was in the year (or two) below Maurice Ross (Rangers and Scotland) at primary school.

I used to sit beside Kevin McNaughton (Aberdeen FC and Scotland) in Maths at high school.

I asked Henry McLeish (former Scottish First Minister) a question at a debate in Edinburgh University on the set-up of the (then) future Scottish Parliament.

I've met several Lord Provosts of Dundee ;)
