when the consoles first appeared i would have said the same Cr*p as this but now that i have one i thinks its the best console trust HALO will blow you away its deffently the best F.P.S

Alistair, I have no problem with people saying the Xbox is a great console, or even that it is the best console out. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.
However, what I hate is people going arround saying "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!X BOX IS ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I love the Xbox. I have one sitting under the TV right now, and have just been playing Jet Set Radio - one of the most creative games devised.
If you're going to make a view about a console, at least back it up with something. I wouldn't have a problem if this topic actually began a debate about the pros and cons of the console - indeed, there are a few things I would like to see improved.
Likewise, I have no problem with people saying that the console is great so long as they back it up with a good reason. For example, "I enjoy the games" is an excellent reason.
As for Pumba, the reason I had a go at him was two fold. Firstly, his poor use of the English language. YOU ARE NOT HAVING A TXT CONVO! Secondly, his shallow points, such as:
"if the xbox is so crap y wud it have a hard drive of 80,000 gigabytes woteva there caled and y wud they take perfect dark and have halo (the best game) hmmm, and its ur opinion 2 call me a muppet"
Let's analyse this piece of nonsense shall we...
To begin with, the Xbox does not have 80,000 gigabytes. To do so, it would have to be as big as my front room. I've heard jokes about the console being big, but this is absurd. Oh, and yes, the console does have a few dozen Gb of harddisk space... but this has no bearing on how good the console is - that's all in the games...
Which brings us onto Perfect Dark and Halo. I don't actually understand what 80,000 Gb HDDs have to do with these games.. could you enlighten me? And yes, these games are fantastic, epic perhaps, but you never actually explain this in English.
Finally, I never said "the xbox is so crap". All i said was two simple things:
1) Why did you make a comment AFTER you said that no further comment was needed.
2) Why do you make pointless contributing to topic like "Xbox rules, no more comment needed". This is a discussion forum, so discuss.

Sonic's notable status will not phase me in what he says... if he starts argueing about SEGA the fact that I know he is far more experienced and knowlegable in that area means that I would be phased... Yet if we argued about Nintendo I would hope at least he would feel the same...
We are all experienced in thousands of different fields of gaming... Resievilfan is an expert in Resident Evil for example... Sonic and I have been in countless arguments and to see a comment such as 'x-box rules nuff said' is a frustrating comment because enough hasn't been said.
If i read that comment first I would have replied with 'Why?'.

can't everbody just agree that the XBox is a great console, so is the Gamecube and also the PS2 (Maybe). Each console has it's own strenth and weaknesses. For example the PS2 is the best console for most mainsteam gamers (you know, the ones with no brains) with great racing games (GT3) beat 'em ups (tekken 4) and sports games (PES2). But it lacks in the more specialist areas (strategic shooters, platformers and simulators). The Gamecube is probaly the best all-round console (except for sports games) with great games like Zelda (Celda), Resident evil 0 Wario world (being devoloped by Treasure) it looks like the Gamecube is in for a great 2003.The XBox on the other hand lacks mainstream games like GTA and the PES series. But it more than makes up for this in the specialist areas (1st/3rd person shooters and stategic shooters among others). It has many great games like Halo, splinter cell (for the moment exclusive) JSRF Sega GT2002 and Blinx. line up for 2003 includes Panzer Dragoon Orta, Toejam and Earl, House of the dead 3, Shenmue 2, Tekki (Steel Battalion) and Metal Gear Substance (all exclusive except MGS) So as you can see the gamecube and the billybox (XBox for PS2 Users to understand) are in for their peaks this year while I think the PS2 will just get the same games as this year repackaged and called sequels (Ridge Racer, Moto GP3, and a new Smackdown! game) Just remember all consoles are great Fanboys just ruin the more advanced consoles (that's why you see so many PS2 fanboys)
