The "Nintendo Games" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
One solution to get the forums more active and interesting may be to merge the 2 together, on a temporary basis. After all, There are quite a few games from Sega/Team Sonic being developed for the GameCube and GameBoy Advance, and therefore we should fins that fans of both companies are interested in the GC. And Sega are currently without a console for the next-generation, and are only left to discuss the death of the Dreamcast. And I also don't feel that it's right for them to have their own discussions about the Cube (if they do) when it's a true NINTENDO console!
So, maybe merging the forums would be a good idea, or at least maybe creating a new forum for the 2, untill news emerges of a new Sega console.
But then again, Sega and Nintendo have been close rivals since the births of the NES and the Master System, so maybe all we'd get in a new forum would be arguments over who's better.
So, do you think that a merge of the 2 forums is a good idea or bad idea??? And how should they join, as a new temperary forum, or as a replacement for the existing 2???
Or would it be a complete mess, and just wouldn't work??
Sega is made of NINE independant games developers. Sonic Team happens to be one of these, and a small one at that. Far bigger is AM2, which is also far better known for example.
So, Sonic Team happen to have allied with Ninty. AM2 have allied with Sony. Smilebit with Xbox. And, indeed, all the departments of Sega have their own unique preferred console to develop on.
So, just because one small sega team makes games for the GC, we should mix the 2 forums? Why?
sonic
Their just like any other developer now!
Soon their forum will just dissapear into the great unknown!
All the followers in there will find their space in another forum!
There's no need to associate the Sega forum with the Nintendo one!
The forum may be slow at the moment, but that is because all the details about the Gamecube launch have been given and nothing new is happening!
:)
