I think we all feel it's safe to say that this forum just isn't as lively as it used to be! And I think the same can be said for the Sega forum, even though I rarely enter there.

One solution to get the forums more active and interesting may be to merge the 2 together, on a temporary basis. After all, There are quite a few games from Sega/Team Sonic being developed for the GameCube and GameBoy Advance, and therefore we should fins that fans of both companies are interested in the GC. And Sega are currently without a console for the next-generation, and are only left to discuss the death of the Dreamcast. And I also don't feel that it's right for them to have their own discussions about the Cube (if they do) when it's a true NINTENDO console!

So, maybe merging the forums would be a good idea, or at least maybe creating a new forum for the 2, untill news emerges of a new Sega console.

But then again, Sega and Nintendo have been close rivals since the births of the NES and the Master System, so maybe all we'd get in a new forum would be arguments over who's better.

So, do you think that a merge of the 2 forums is a good idea or bad idea??? And how should they join, as a new temperary forum, or as a replacement for the existing 2???
Or would it be a complete mess, and just wouldn't work??

Ok, so bringing these 2 together may be a bad idea.
But would it be so bad if a new forum was created for both Sega and Nintendo?? We's still keep these 2.

I agree, merging forums is usually a bad thing but it keeps the forum alive if there are more topics..

Split life from sport, don't merge anything!

Don't split anything! There are too many forums as it is!

Merging forums is bad.

When there were separate Gamecube, N64, and Gameboy forums it was much better.

But those 2 forums would never get deleted, as there'd be less for certain people to chat about. And that could mean that SR loose certain people for a mahjority of the time.
I personally hate Wrestling and Pokémon, but they'll stay their to keep people interested in this site.

Wouldn't a 'Sega - Ninty', or even a 'GameCube' forum be quite interesting?? It'd probably be more busy than this forum and the Sega one, and it could only be a temporary, whole new forum.

Look, a vast majority of games are not GC excluive, and the majority are going onto the Ps2. So, why join Sega and ninty?
