I think we all feel it's safe to say that this forum just isn't as lively as it used to be! And I think the same can be said for the Sega forum, even though I rarely enter there.

One solution to get the forums more active and interesting may be to merge the 2 together, on a temporary basis. After all, There are quite a few games from Sega/Team Sonic being developed for the GameCube and GameBoy Advance, and therefore we should fins that fans of both companies are interested in the GC. And Sega are currently without a console for the next-generation, and are only left to discuss the death of the Dreamcast. And I also don't feel that it's right for them to have their own discussions about the Cube (if they do) when it's a true NINTENDO console!

So, maybe merging the forums would be a good idea, or at least maybe creating a new forum for the 2, untill news emerges of a new Sega console.

But then again, Sega and Nintendo have been close rivals since the births of the NES and the Master System, so maybe all we'd get in a new forum would be arguments over who's better.

So, do you think that a merge of the 2 forums is a good idea or bad idea??? And how should they join, as a new temperary forum, or as a replacement for the existing 2???
Or would it be a complete mess, and just wouldn't work??

Thanks Allardini and I agree, both these forums are dying. You're one of only a few people who've actually agreed with me!

Oh, and incase you're interested, Sega used to have 10 inhouse departments- AM1 to R&D10. When they became independent, 2 of these joined, thus leaving 9 development teams.

That'd be stupid, unlike this idea!

"Why don't me make Nintendo
> make a console with Sony!!"

Wasn't the PSX originally gunna be a CD add-on for the SNES?? That's what I heard today anyway.

"You silly boy, we're mixing with the enemy.."

It's too late for that, Nintendo have already let Sega's people show their stuff on the GameCube, like 'Super Monkey Ball' and the 2 'Sonic Adventures'.

C'mon, is it really that bad an idea?? Anyway, if Sega were to come up with a new console, we'd just split again and go back to normal, like this. The Sega forum needs help!!
And there isn't really any competition between Ninty and Sega anymore, as Sega have nothing to compete with!
Unless you're living in the past of course.

Sonic Adventure 2 is being PORTED to the Gamecube from the sega dreamcast and according to OPS2M his next adventure is heading to the Playstation 2!! Just because one game is on the gamecube doesn't mean Nintendo own Sega, what about Shenmue, Jet set radio and more!!!!

Because the Sega dreamcast is still for retail, games are still being made for the Dreamcast, This is the Nintendo forum, Sega are making games for the XBOX,PS2 AND GAMECUBE so just because "some" sega fans are in the nintendo forum doesn't mean the forums should join !!

lol Ninty's are all alike :-P

Why? Which Sega character is most well-known throughout the whole world??? (no, not Alex Kidd!) Sonic the Hedgehog. And with him comes the likes of Kinuckles, Tails, Amy and Robotnik (or Eggman). And you'll also find that games involving these characters will be appearing on the GameCube and GameBoy Advance, not on the PS2 or X-box.

So, if Sega was to join it's forum with another for a short period of time it would have to be this one. And I think it would be better as a seperate forum, not replacing this one.
Look around, in this forum you'll already find Sega fans, including yourself SONIC Rav! So why not??
