Despite what skeptics would think, Nintendo is on to a pure winner with the Gamecube.
The quality factor which is inspired and produced by Nintendo's own is nonetheless a contributing factor to the machines success.
With the third party support that sees effectively near enough every X-BOX-PS2 release on the system will highten sales further.
Plus, considering the rather small difference between the technology of the X-BOX and GC goes in favour of the Big N due to its groundbreaker development of games which is veering towards release..- AAA Too!.

Naturally the system deserved more on release.
The Gamecube missed a Quality Mario title that we have been so used to with the Major console releases from Nintendo.
Even though the system will have in region of 22+ titles on release here in Europe, i would give anything-all those titles atleast- just to have a Mario Platformer as my first Gamecube play, I mean...who wouldn't?

But do you know what would be the killer for the X-BOX?
The Price for one!
I consider myself a hardcore gamer, I have had Every console that was worth of getting in existence now.
I might have waited a year for the dropping of price for the PS2, but heck it was worth it, considering no decent enough title appeareed until the release of GT3.

And with the same sort of reasoning, I will be doing the same with the X-BOX. Halo- I know- is worth getting, but shelling out £300 plus £40 for the game let alone £30 for a memory card is a bit too much don't you think? Atleast with the Gamecube you have quite a bit of money compared to the X-BOX to buy yourself an extra game (or two) or maybe a memory card on top. And atleast with the PS2 you where guaranteed DVD playback out of the box!!!
Plus you end up thinking of the long term too, what titles will be the make or break for the systems.
We all know Mario will probably crunch the sales of all games in existence on any format for the Gamecube, but what have we to look forward to for the X-BOX? Halo 2? Crazy Taxi 3? That's the problem.

I 'will' have an X-BOX eventually (Until the price lowers to PS2 range), heck it is a brilliant syestem with unbelievable potential to boot. But being realistic, I think Nintendo is onto a winner with it's extremely powerful Gamecube, which is in an attractive price range.
Even thinking of Mario, Metroid, Perfect Dark and the 'reverting to the Realistic Style' Zelda has my mouth watering in anticipation.
Roll on May 3rd then...the time when Europe will waken up to true gaming. You'll see!

Those aren't RE2 and 3, RE2 and 3 look like the Dreamcast versions but a little better, that is RE1 shots.

It's-a-me, Cookio!

I CAN'T wait for the release of Gamecube!

There just one problem with the release date.

My end of term is on May 31st! But I don't have any exams this time, so I finish 2 weeks before that! Thus around the 17th! But as I don't have any exams, it means I have 5 ICA's to do! (big bits of coursework to you!) And they'll all need to be completed at the start of May!

Grrrrr! So do I get a Gamecube on launch day, or just wait till I finish uni!?! I might just order one from SR and have it sent home waiting for me!

As for the X-Box talk! I've been playing on one for quite a bit, and unfortunately it has yet to crash on me! The hard drive is pretty useful. It lets you save all your games to it, but it also lets you rip CD's to it. Which means instead of listening to annoying Rock tracks while playing Amped, you can play the game to a huge collection of non stop Trance! Faaaaarrrr better! Oh and the memory card are so you can take your saves round a mates house etc. And you can't use the DVD player on the X-Box unless you buy the DVD controller, which really is a bit skanky of Microsoft I feel!

All consoles have thier problems at first. Even the PS2 had problems, but these problems are always blown completly out of proportion.

No, it doesn't, you need to buy a kit first. It does have a DVD drive though.
