We are currently considering merging Intelligent Discussion with Creative Writing & Design under the heading "Creative Writing & Debate".

Your opinions please.

Putting Intelligent Discussion threads in General chat might not be a bad idea, they'd get more views and consequently more replies possibly.

Seems ok, it would be back to how it used to be and as there isn't much traffic in the ID forum anyway it won't make much difference.

Atleast everyones now fine about the merger of all the games forums, right? Much easier now than checking 4 different forums I think.

I don't think that's a good idea.
I think you need to keep some sort of dedicated Internet/FREEOLA forum.

Eccles and Co. have just started answering Freeola related service and problem posts a bit more reguarly which is good.

I can't see having posts about Freeola adsl/domain problems mixing well with posts on artwork... !

Hmm not sure about that. Technology would be where we can talk about computers, software and gadgets like mp3 players and digital cameras right? That'd be nice to have.

How about just 'Creative Works and Debate'? Something like that.

Hmm...I'd hazard a guess the creative writing people wont like it. :)

Not sure its a good idea actually, it seems a bit forced. They arent exactly 2 natural topics to go together. Creative writing has its own little niche which generates a steady (if small) flow. So maybe best left alone. I'd be more tempted to merge ID into general chat.
