At last gamers other than the PS2 sort will get a chance to play the greatest football game ever made! Details are scarce at the moment but Cube-Europe say that the game will be released this year. What do you think about the game? Are there any updates on this news and what will be added to the GameCube version? I am very excited about finally getting a chance to play the Pro Evolution series once again after 5 years of being deprived from the PSONE versions. Any news, information and updates that I find about the game I will post in here but I would appreciate it if you would do the same. So, who else is looking forward to this one?

But the Cube doesn't have a hard drive. Would it download new things onto memory cards?

But how can we be sure that this game WILL get a European release after stil having heard nothing from Konami themselves??

How could they give it to Japan: the Land of the Future, but not us Europeans who really love football and know what it's all about??!

However, if it is released over-here, then I have no doubt that I will be getting this game within minutes of its release!

Apparently, the on-line capabillities won't have anything to do with playing other players on-line at all. I read something on it a while back saying that you'd be able to go on-line with this game to simply update your stats and teams, but I've heard nothing about this being an on-line multiplayer.

Unless it is a valuble update with changes other than transfers I can't see the point in having 2 football games. I remember getting ISS Evolution and then Evolution 2 for the PSONE and apart from a couple of changes the game honestly felt just like the first. The biggest change I have seen in a football game was the leap from ISS 98 to ISS Evolution. Also the leap EA made from a very good Fifa Soccer 95 and Road to the World Cup on PSONE to the current rubbish they bring out every year! Fifa 2003 is actually a lot better than previous Fifa games (excluding the Mega Drive with Fifa 94 and Fifa 95 and Road to the World Cup) but ther series has a LONG way to go before reaching Pro Evolution class, I can't wait for this game.

Stupid Sony. I'm falling off my chair (well not literally, that would be painful) in anticipation for both Burnout 2 and Pro Evo 2.

Sorry, as of yet I can't find any updated previews of the game. I agree with Philip, online football games will be very poor in my opinion as you could hook up with a greedy player or not like the team you are on. It would be good if you just played one person but other than that I can't see it being a hit.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
