After a whole string of reviews I've read there is only one conclusion- this will be great.
Epic storyline, fantastic soundtrack, great old skool gameplay with new twists, tons of extras- including the saturn original not to mention the best visual experience Xbox has yet delivered. I'll back that up- I've seen footage.
And one more thing- Boss Battles! They're back. According to Gamespot, its one of the best blends between tried and tested gameplay with new technology. I like the sound of that.
Set youy money aside for this one guys.
I will accept your opinions when you accept I'm right
:P
'To be honest SAV'!
:D
Falbe sounds fantastic, and I wish the Cube was having it, but then again, Zelda is too, and that is Cube only. So.
Halo is devoid of any atmosphere. Totaly! Its....too......slow.......and....dull.......
:D
I don't care how well it plays, the style of game is just embarassing. It's the kind of game that will reafirm in the non gaming publics head that gaming really is just for spotty geeks who's closest contact to the outside world is through their modem.

Brrrrrrrrr ::shiver:: Actually I laughed cause it reminded me of a film I have on DVD called Kung Pow. If you haven't seen it, then its basically an old 1970's Hong Kong martial arts film that has been messed around with and redubbed (with new stuff added to make it extra stupid) by some American bloke. Its so stupid that its excellent. ;-)
Anyway, the scene I was thinking of had this old master guy talking to 2 of his students. He's like "As you know I am a man of special needs, you will now recieve the fist of fury....Prepare the long rubber glove ! Eny, meany, miney, moe, I wonder where my glove will go.."
Then you see the guys faces and its hilarious. Of course in the original film it was a totally different conversation, but the guy who put everything together in Kung Pow is a genius. ;-))
I was basically thinking of me having that same look on my face. ;-))

Maybe I'll get round to playing it sometime, but for now its not something I want to buy a GC for, so unless someone else I know gets it, I'll be concentrating on the games I want for X-Box.
Mav let it drop, Sav doesn't like the graphics and thats fine. You have complained about Xbox games and Sav is now complaining about a GameCube game. Its an opinion which he is entitled to.
WS accept Sav's opinion and get on with enjoying your Shiny Q-Cube and arguing with me!
On a different note I have decided to make Mario Sunshine my next PAL purchase (Winning Eleven 6 is my next purchase). After a 2 day rental I can safely say that the game has gotten me hooked and I wish that I didn't have to take it back. Great game and possibly the best platformer I have ever played. I enjoyed Blinx immensly but this really is the pick of the platform bunch.
You have to play it, he starts off different, he looks really cool at the start, then you're given the [legendary] tunic, you learn sword fighting, you're allowed to use the family crest shield etc.
It's an absolutely fantastic game.
At the end of the day, I think some of the surroundings look pretty good - but the Link character, I just find really disappointing, especially after the early demo Nintendo released of the Link/Ganon fight.
Not saying every character has to look all realistic, but Nintendo could have easily made Link that bit more impressive and detailed than what he ended up being.
Mav - I can't remember who it was exactly, but I think its in this topic. Maybe Dringo or Tilt ? Anyway, one of them was ripping into DOA:EBV for being a pants game, probably won't take long to scroll down and find them saying about it (sorry if it was neither of you guys).
I think it was even said by the same person in another topic too.
As for Fable, again, that was laughed at as being any type of contender for being one of the best RPG's ever when overall, theres no reason why it couldn't be. It looks great graphics wise, theres loads of freedom to take the direction you want wether you want to be good or bad and then theres the other details such as your character evolving over time with scars gained from battle, tanned or pale skin depending on how much you're in the sunlight, your build changing depending on what weapons and stuff you train with, etc.
Of course that doesn't guarantee it to be the best RPG ever, but its a bloody good step in the right direction.
And reported ? For what ? I'm guessing the smile after has some twist to it.
