YEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!! WAHEY!!!!! C'MOOOOOOOONNNNN THE REDS!!!!!!!!
Right, that's enough for the moment. I have to say, although my opinion is a little biased, I felt Liverpool were the better team. They frustrated United who never really got in a good shot at goal (apart from Giggs possibly.)
The second half was mostly Liverpool, and although they didn't dominate in the sense they were attacking all the time, they had more of the ball and used it well throughout.
Heskey played extremely well I thought, although I was surprised he wasn't replaced by Anelka. Owen did what he was instructed, Gerrard and Murphy were both fantastic and the defence was superb, especially the upcoming Stephen Wright.
Now they're up to 3rd in the league, and right back in it. This victory should give them a much-needed boost, and I reckon that there's still hope for the Reds.
Brilliant performance lads, and although you won't read this, I'd like to say a massive WELL DONE!!
Wimbledon tactics - lump it from back to front, and see if Owen or Anelka can get onto it. Boring as hell, but occasionally pays off.
Come to think of it, Liverpool only ned field 7 players per game - they bypass the midfield anyway! ;-)
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson could not understand how his side had lost and he accused Liverpool of playing long-ball football.
"We played really well, showed commitment, drive and determination and lost the game," he said.
"You just can't blame the players and sometimes these things happen in football.
"All Liverpool really did is kick the ball forward. They came here for a 1-0 win and they got it like they did last season."
I thought it was a really poor game. United had all the possession but couldn't create any chances as we were outnumbered 3 to 1 as soon as we went near your 18 yard box.
Liverpool tend to defend, and try to attack on the break. This is fine, it might win you a few games - but fundamentally, it doesn't work. Liverpool are unable to step up the pace when they need to. I don't think they've been behind and come back to win in a single game this season.
That is why they aren't going to win the title.
*Scoring in the dying minutes
You done the double over us last season and still we won the title.
Liverpool cant just build themselves up for United every season...
What did Fergie say after the match? I really didnt want to see the analysis...
Liverpool hardly had a touch of the ball in the first 25 minutes.
I really feel Giggs should not be playing up front. We really missed him down the left wing. Maybe Solskjaer should have come on earlier...I dunno.
Fair enough, United have had an easy run of games (we did beat Newcastle though) Maybe too easy. This isnt a good time to lose to our rivals Liverpool. It will batter our confidence, and the champions league is only a few weeks away.
Never seen Forlan play before, hopefully he will do well with Van Nistelrooy. Van Nistelrooy has had to do so much on his own up front this season, hopefully we wont have to see this if Forlan plays with him all the time.
Liverpool won, and that's great for the title race - but you have to admit they're not exactly exciting to watch. The attitude seems to be, from the first whistle, play for a draw and score if you can - *especially* away from home.
It's certainly not as exciting or entertaining as you expect Liverpool teams to be. Still, you won tonight, and that's all that matters!

Fair enough - it's given them a good run, and they've

Tonight, with the first decent team they've met for a while, they
> lose. And it has to be said, Liverpool weren't exactly outstanding themselves!
Maybe not outstanding, but I felt they were better than Man United and overall put up a good performance.
What Alex Ferguson said at the end was complete bollards, in my opinion.
