"Why does Explorer freeze?"

eh eh?

The bloody thing keeps freezing up every 10 minutes or so and sometimes comes back to life and others I need to restart computer

I hate it and have shouted abuse at it

So why eh?

It started after restoring computer to factory settings... then I updated to Explorer 6 to see if that would help but it doesn't

Bah

I use Netscape 7 and have no such problems. By the way, Explorer freezes if you don't keep it wwarm enough, hint hint, check that your CPU is overheating. Hm......

Microsoft make such great products............and you would buy a game console from the same company!?

Oh no, I changed to XP.

I had that.

Ran Norton Utilities and it worked fine after.

I'm using it now

It looks a bit crap

It hasn't froze... yet

Get Mozilla.

Do you have an IE5 disk? If you do, install it over the top and it should work better.

Shut down your computer
Pull out the plug
Set up a video camera to follow your movements
Take off the space-bar key on your keyboard and put it in your mouth
With the space bar in your mout attempt singing the Cheeky Song.
Put everything back together again.
Upload the video to the internet
and IE should work...

Well that's what MS told me when I phoned the up :-P
