I have recently read in a couple of magazines that The Big 'N' are planning to release their next console in 2005 along with the next Gameboy. This is great news for all Nintendo fans. I believe that each new console should be given a new name (not just have a number stuck on the end of it.eg. PS2). I think the name of a console is very important as it will go down in the history of consoles. Sony and Microsoft are also planning to release their next consoles around 2005 with the names "PS3" and "Xbox2" (how original), I think the name "Gamecube" is great but the name "Gamecube2" for the next big console, im not so sure. Anyway, thats my opinion, what do you think? Got any suggestions for new names?

h yes, and you put up to twenty disks in it, and play whichever one you want, they could even link games in this way! That'd be cool, insert your new Pokémon you caught into the new Smash Bros game. *thinks up more crazy ideas*

The Gameboy and Gameboy Pocket, or even Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gamboy SP. The list will go on...

I think they should stick with shapes

But a sphere is unpractical. I tihnk it should be a cylinder.

Just imagine, it would be like a pringles tube! It would only be as wide as the 8cm discs in it, and the top could lift and slide off to the side to insert them.

Although I don't know how attractive that would look.

2005 is quite a long way off so anything can happen between now and then. I think they should keep the Cube bit but I I agree on aoviding 'GameCube 2' as it just doesn't sound right. Now I have both an Xbox and GameCube I will be picking up both their sequels on launch so even if they are just called Xbox 2 and GameCube 2 I won't be bothered. I think the Dolphin idea was a good one, however I believe that Nintendo should stick with the idea of a Cube as this brings a whole new perspective to their marketing campaign and in particular their very original adverts where game footage is viewed in a Cube! Either way I am not bothered but I think that Nintendo should stick with the idea of a Cube for now.
