You are a wise person and I totally agree with you! Yeh, Nintendo is a very respected games company and what ever they descide to call their next console I know I will get a good qaulity console. Afterall, Nintendo practically built up the gaming industry to what it is today. I think the name should be a name that can be shortened .eg. "N64" - which kind of just rolls off your tounge, if you know what i mean. "GC" just doesn't do it for me!

Hey, I just added Pheonix for the fun of it, Nintendo didn't actually use this name for the first basis name of the GC.
But it is a great name anyway.
The Nintendo NintoS
Whaddagame!
Has anyone ever tried?

It'd look nice if it actually had a Pringles tube design on it.
Or not.

The thing is, developers stick with the same names because they sell consoles. The Playstation name is a huge selling point for Sony, and now a household name.
However, I do agree with Tyrant. Personally, although I love the console, I just don't like the name GameCube. For the next generation, Nintendo need to wake up and work out a unit-pushing name and a sleek design that won't attract annoying, laddish insults. The name 'Nintendo' though is held in high regard, and whatever they do, they should be sure to whack their name in front of it all.
