ive asked around at my school and alsmot everyone who plays the console thinks that consoles are WAAAAY better than PC's - at least 'for gaming' they said. WAKE UP PPL. the specs of most top half PC's today dwarf the tiny consoles that keep spewing out of mindwarped companies. no matter how hard they try, xbox online, ps2 hooking up to modem, PC's will ALWAYS be one step ahead, be it technology, power or even looks. everything about the PC is that much better than any console out to date. THE plans for gamecube 2 or PS3 that may arrive in the future, are already out of date, for PC's are growing in power at an astonishing rate. only a few monthas ago, i saw 2.4 ghz PCs being the top spec out to date, and not only that but a few years ago, 500mhz was top of the range, and while PS2s and xbox's have showed an improvement over their previous type, the PCs will always be growing and will NEVER be out of date, constantly improving and never falling behind any petty console. EVEN MICROSOFT submitted to making a console, which is quite foolish, as they should have concentrated on improving their own OS and other small details that would ultimately make PC users lives that little more smooth.
i find it a shame that so many people have been brainwashed by the fancy ads that overrate the console entirely. but generally, PC's are usually owned by the more intelligent of society (hehe unless ure an exception, like me :) ) while consoles that simply switch on and take hours to load or do anything for that matter, belong to the young people of narrow minds.
this is merely my opinion, but im sure that other pc users out there are sick of seeing more and more people buying machines that may instantly be out of date and thrown to the back of the shelf to make way for a new improved model.
what do yall think?

The old Games like Unreal Tournament have turned out sequels that are less adequate while games like Zelda keep on being great.....
I'm not sure how long people can bring out these same sequels on the pc with just updated graphics.
Consoles win in terms of gaming because they were built that way but the PC is great for the RTS people.
First Person Shooter
Proper RPGs
Strategy and Management games
All of these genres are ruled by the PC with an iron fist. A combination of raw processing power and standard peripherals makes the PC the ideal home for games like these.
In almost all games like these, a controller or joystick is a poor substitute for a mouse and keyboard.
Oh, and another genre that the PC owns supreme?
Flight sims.
Consoles simply don't have enough controls to perform them effectively.
So, while consoles will always be competitive with action, adventure, sports, puzzle and close-link multiplayer games, everything else - ie the games that require more thought - belong to the PC.
And when I say close-link multiplayer, I mean you and three of your mates sitting down playing Fifa or something.

No offense sniper, but you're sure dish out you're fair share of ********!
How can you accuse a game like UT2003 of lacking anything new, yet say Zelda is great in this respect? Zelda has been going since the early days of the old 16-bit era, not something I'd call orinial or groundbreaking.
In fact, as much as I like my GC, I can't deny that there are allot of games on the system which are no more than mere 'updates' of past classics. So why then, is it important every new PC game needs to new and original?
Anyway back on topic
PC's have had a bad year and a really decent game only ever gets made once in a blue moon. As for console games they are great 'mini arcades' but its hard to feel involved with them as they dont have support with chat, e-mail and other things. This being said a lot of consoles are actually going online as we speak and this cant hurt there cause although the main point PC's have over consoles is the PC's abillity to be constantly updated where as a consoles specs are locked in from day of purchase. PC games are often cheaper as well :)
But I'm not trying to push one type over the other this is just my personal view and would recommend everyone try both platforms for themselves before making judgements. Happeh gaming
But look at the PC release dates this year not much..... really alot of sequels aswell, unreal 2 seemed to dissapoint people was its gameplay, what for doom 3 next, will they take the core of the old version out of it that made it such a classic.
