Stop accusing people of being other people, when they aren't. Some people have got quite upset because they have been accused of being a cheater who has come back under another name.

Salevaa is not Shaneo/Firebalt/Whoever, I've checked his details and he's an entirely different person. Please stop hassling people - if you don't know what you're saying to be true then please keep your mouth shut or you'll get into trouble.

Yes, but some people just don't have a clue. Also IE's cookies are bloody hard to organise.

SR place 2 cookies on your system. One is your ID and one is your uniqueid. I think they should place another one which flags you PC. That way, you wouldn't be able to use that PC on the forums if you were banned. The scheme has a few problems but it would work.

As Snuggly said before it looked as though he wasn't shaneo which means he must have used different details for this account. Sounds like a Military operation, he must have planned it for a while.
Thing is though people could get their GAD prize sent to a friend or relative so it is almost impossible to stop people coming back after being banned.

I gave Loki an idea in which people have to use thier SR password from when they join SR or a similar thing from freeola but he said that a lot of users weren't members and he didn't want to prevent these people using the forums.

I think that what they should do is not ban people for the "minor" mistakes but just no longer allow them to win GAD. That way they can still use the forums but secretly will never win. It may be evil but I like it. : )

hm. Difficult one that. I expect things just got out of hand for him. Happens when you're young and don't know any better.

It seems to be more of a humiliation than anything else. If I couldn't come on here using the name Grix Thraves I'd be a little annoyed. I expect most people would be if they lost their name too.

Perhaps it's not so bad for people that don't stay here very long...

Could always try and set up an IP trace or something, but then the IP's could change.

What's the point in banning someone if they just return? They're just taking the p**s.

I can't claim to know exactly what's going on, since time has caused me to limit myself to 2 forums recently (ie, not this forum), but 2 things come to mind.

1. You keep banning this guy and he keeps returning. Maybe it'd be better to leave him as he is. At least then you'd always know it was him, and could comtrol him a little more easily?

2. Is Mr S he who was known as Ali G (from how he signed off the original post)?

Humm...well, I liked Saleevaa, but I guess it's his own fault if he lied to you. Ah well, I can still talk to him on MSN.

And anyway, I can't fault Snuggly, especially since he awarded to GAD to Grandprix for a WWF Forum match!! Thanks Snuggly! Much appreciated.
