its the best priced console coming out (probably because nintendo is 1 of the biggest video games company) The x-box +ps2 are both ripoffs & i will stand by nintendo forever.
Have u reserved yours from special reserve i have & have saved enough money to pay the rest of the cost. The lauch titles make me dribble with THPS3 & SSBM just make you want to dribble

Sony said this aswell & the games are Ł40.Nintendo will keep there promise & i am still getting a Gamecube whatever anyone says. The graphics are much better than ps poo & x-tra crap box.The console will be a low price compared to the ps2 & x box. Nintendo are the best & will rule over sony & microsoft. I'm sorry about this but the actual topic made little or no sense in my eyes in that there were no arguments or even reasons why the Game Cube will 'rule' as you say. Luckily this topic was brought back by some intelligent replies from some people. You can't just say something without a justified reason or it doesn't make sense, to me at least. I am expecting to buy an X Box but I may change my preference depending on which way the battle between Sony Nintendo and Microsoft goes.
I think that too many games on the PS2 are too violent. Blood,gore and dead bodies all over the place do not, repeat, DO NOT make a good game. Sure, it may attract certain people but that's just the way some people are. What I like about Nintendo is that they don't really have games for both adults, that's just because they have swearing and blood in them, and games that are sutible for every one. That doesn't mean it's only for children, anyone who believes that is a FOOL! Nintendo games are mostly just plane innocent fun, like Smash Bros. People say that it's childish. Well if you made the Nintendo characters human and made them spew galons of blood everytime they get hit they probably wouldn't call it childish although the game remains the same for the most part. Making violent games just cuts out a huge part of people who play on video games.
Don't get me started, that game was mince, end of conversation, goodbye....

Hmmm, I finally gave in and bought a US import copy of MGS2 on Saturday from my local CEX and I’ve gotta' be honest, I can't remember being so disappointed in a game for ages!
After all the damn build-up it isn't all that! The story is so convoluted its unbelievable, it makes one of those lame American soap operas seem like a work of genius! Cut scenes can last up to 10 minutes (and that’s not exaggerating!) and in some cases cut scenes actually has it’s own cut scenes – go figure that one out! And just to clarify, I like a good cut scene as much as the next man, they help add tension to the game and build the story line, but in MGS2 the story line is soooo weak you end up not caring!
Add to this the fact that in many places it's very similar to MGS, here are two examples. In MGS2 there is a torture scene (sound familiar ?) and guess what, your character has a codec romance with a fellow operative – how original? After so long in development I really through Konami could come up with something a little better! It not like they’ve been rushed on this project!
Before I actually played the game I really couldn’t understand how a couple of the PS2 magazines had only given MGS2 7/10 or 72% but now I’ve finally played it I totally agree. It’s an 80% game maximum – and to be honest that is being generous!
I know that most of you will have played the MGS2 demo and were probably blow away – hell I was when I played it. But I gotta’ say the bit you played in the demo is by far the best bit of the entire game – no joke, in fact I wish it was, but it true!
I know everyone is still going to buy the game, and rightly so as you have gotta’ make up your own mind, but for me I actually prefer MGS on PSone! Maybe it was because of the huge amount of hype, maybe my expectations were raised to high but I can’t shake the feeling that Konami have wasted a huge opportunity here.
Just hope MGS3 puts this right!

It was hard to devellop for, expensive and unfashionable, but I've yet to see a Playstation game come close out-doing an N64 one.
The N64 was tops for multiplayer too.
I think that it was good, but Nintendo messed up on the corporate side of things by not cooperating with other devellopers who then went on to concentrate on the Playstation.
