Why am I trying it out anyway?

The XBOX forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest XBOX game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

Steel Battalion **drools** nuff said

Steel Battalion is a game where you pilot a mech. Its the usual war storyline and it looks like you have allies assiting you in battle which should be pretty good. The game is a hardcore mech simulation that gives you the feel of piloting one by including the large controller and pedals. The graphics look awesome - the best on any console yet seen. If it looks like your going to be taken out, you need to make sure you eject before your mech explodes, otherwise you go up with it and its career over. ;-)
The second one is also in production now and will apparently feature online play. One cool feature with the online play is that you'll still have to tune into your allies frequencies to communicate with them. :-)
Overall it looks an excellent game.

what's Steel Batallion aboout?

is anyone getting Burnout 2? man, i thought that was just a racing game. but i saw a big clip of it and it looks mint!

Looks an excellent game Nomad. ;-) I don't care if its more expensive - its been pre-ordered and I'm getting it. ;-))

Halo 2 looks like it'll be out around Christmas 2003 - Early 2004 right now. So far it looks amazing. Most X-Box mags are showing plenty of coverage of it, Edge magazine has a section on it (Masterchief is on the cover) and if you goto xbox.com, you can download a trailer. ;-)
