Why am I trying it out anyway?

The XBOX forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest XBOX game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

I didn't comment on the tennis games because its not an area I tend to look at often, though from what I know, Slam Tennis is about the best tennis game you can get on the X-Box right now - the others are supposed to be pretty crap.

Blade 2 looks ok and one of those games that you can enjoy, but I think repetition sets in so you'll probably be taking breaks from it quite a lot. As for the main 3 I advised you to look at, I think you should look at Conflict: Desert Storm as it has more content to it. What I mean is that the other 2 games are 1 player only whereas C:DS allows upto 4 players. Plus you can earn medals in the game so it gives you more incentive to go back and try harder difficulties, etc.
Hitman 2 looks a really good game, but it revolves more around remaining unseen while C:DS offers you more ways to do missions.
As for The Thing, its looks a good horror game, but its slight faults put it a little behind the other 2 choices (i.e. the scripted moments that end up taking away some of the suspence such as someone changing into something nasty despite you giving them a blood test just seconds before).

Savatt's SR review of Turok just about sums up the good, the bad & the ugly of Turok.

I've not played C:DS, but I'd say that the three games you're thinking of getting are just about equally as good as each other.

is Slam Tennis crap then? i'm really into tennis and i've been waiting for a tennis game to come to the Xbox. is there another better one coming out? eg: PRO Tennis WTA Tour

what's wrong (in your view) exactly with Turok? i've seen trailers, pictures, reviews and it seems to be sweet as a nut :-S

what about Blade 2? seems cool to me. seen pictures, videos and that...

thanks alot for the advice by the way, i'll be taking it. i just wanted to know what you dislike about the other three games. so, i have to pick one out of three for my birthday...Conflict: Desert Storm, Hitman 2 or The Thing...any advice there?

Trust me, don't bother with Turok mate, it really stinks. The T-Rex is in it briefly, but overall, its a real crap game and no competition for the FPS games on the way.

i just read a gamers review for Turok and king of the jungle's in it :-)
