Sometimes I think that there are people on the xbox forum who have forgotten that the sequel to the best game on xbox is coming out.
Yeah, alright, so there isn't exactly dayly updates but still, maybe we can all say what we want in Halo 2 and when updates come, we can post them here...........
destructive environments a la Red Faction 2.

That sounds quality.
If they can actualy make it an exciting game too, then it would be good...
Basically it highlits alot of new things comming in Halo 2. Most interestingly though is destructive environments a la Red Faction 2.
Muliplayer battles or Xbox Live will be Covanent Elites VS Human Spartans. Multiplayer online games will have missions and objectives, some including air strikes while you play according to edge. Flying veichles will appear for multipler. Getting flown into the enemy base on a dropship then jumping out with all your Live Buddies will take some beating.
Veichles, including pictures have been unvieled along with weapons, enemies and storyline. Check out the FAQ for a more in depth description or everything.
:D
Anyway....
Metroid is just a bit more innovative than Halo in a few respects. The fact it concentrates on the environment just as much as the enemy- i.e, you have to use yourself to find things - your own abilities, not some rocket launcher. The game is also far more open, with huge amounts of paths to go through and areas to explore - you scan and search everywhere for openings, as if you really were EXPLORING. Halo is a standard shooter, rather than a FPA or whatever its called.
Enough. I mean no harm against the XBox. Tis good.
What makes Halo and no doubt its sequel to come so great is that it delivers a great battle to be a part of. The AI is excellent, vehicles are included to use, there are plenty of decent weapons to choose between with no real weak ones among them.
And then theres the story of the game which I think is excellent. I personally prefer this type of FPS which shows 2 sides fighting eachother rather than the done to death loner taking on the world idea.
From what I've seen, the areas in Metroid Prime are pretty enclosed with little freedom too. A far cry from the big open battlefields in Halo.
At the end of the day its horses.
Metroid Prime will smash it, in my opinion, and I can't see Halo 2 challenging it - seems like more of the same, with even less new ideas than it's painfully unoriginal predecessor. I think the contenders for Metroid's throne will be Deus Ex 2 and possibly Operation Flashpoint. At the moment, my top three first person shooters are:
1. Deus Ex
2. Timesplitters 2
3. Goldeneye 007
I'm hoping that's going to change at some point this year. Oh, and all these 'that's only because it's not on GameCube' arguments are just pathetic. Let people have their own opinions.

And one day you may just shut up and get a life.
