The Getaway is probably one of the most impressive and anticipated games for the Sony PlayStation2. The game is currently set for a Christmas release in Europe. Developed by Team Soho, The Getaway tells the story of two characters. The first, Mark Hammond, is a former criminal who yearns to live a normal life, but when his son is kidnapped and his wife is murdered, he blames mob boss Charlie Jolson. On the opposite side of the law is the second character, Frank Carter, a suspended cop who wants to see Jolson in prison as well. The stories of these two characters intertwine as the game progresses. Specific gameplay details are scarce at this time, but it is known that the game will take place in various locations around London.

This game looks an amazing acheivement from the shots i have seen, if its anything like GTA then i will have this on my new xmas list, which i will start to write soon :D

Its going to be excellent this game, hopefully not online only tough!! Should be crossed between a Driver and GTA!!
Yeah, I know The Getaway isn't a racer at heart. I'm just saying...one of it's main buying points has been done before!

As impressive as that sounds, it's been done before in Metropolis Street Racer (and Project Gotham Racing I suppose), except MSR contains London, Tokyo AND San Francisco!
they have done it so realistically so if your live near where they are doing the 50 miles then it will be
wouldnt it be fun if they designed it so it was the whole map of england !
sounds good but i also hope its not an online only game. i wonder if i can drive past my house (i live in london).
it coveres 50 square miles of london and you can drive london buses. i think it is meant to be an online game now. better not be because i want ot get this game without going on line
