The Getaway is probably one of the most impressive and anticipated games for the Sony PlayStation2. The game is currently set for a Christmas release in Europe. Developed by Team Soho, The Getaway tells the story of two characters. The first, Mark Hammond, is a former criminal who yearns to live a normal life, but when his son is kidnapped and his wife is murdered, he blames mob boss Charlie Jolson. On the opposite side of the law is the second character, Frank Carter, a suspended cop who wants to see Jolson in prison as well. The stories of these two characters intertwine as the game progresses. Specific gameplay details are scarce at this time, but it is known that the game will take place in various locations around London.

thats all i know at the moment about the game does anyone know anything else ,coz i cant wait 2 get it!

you can alos go into 14 internal locations which are as detailed as any first person shooter according to Febs 2001 (last years) issue of Games MAster
when is it out

I think it will be exactly the same as GTA3 but it will just have better graphics and a bit more realistic. i mihgt get it but i will have to rent it to see first

who knows the details outlaw ....they are being very tight lipped about it.....you would have thought we would have more info on a game that was being talked about before the release of the console.....must be good

They did have it down for the 25th Jan at one point!! Ive heard it may be pushed back till the winter though to establish the online bits!!

i wanna see this game running before i get excited but if it is as good as it looks then that is stunning
