FM looked at the control panel and watched the green oscilloscope wave illuminated on the darker green background. To be honest, he hadn’t really figured out what it did yet, but still liked to have it there going up and down at regular intervals. The ship was a deep space science vessel with three silver fins at the back and a nose that looked almost like some sort of kitchen impliment.

Captain FM travelled through space with his three companions, looking for new sources for Earth’s ailing fuel situation and checking out other inhabitable planets. Doctor Grix, the medical officer was always interested in new herbs and alien medicines, the science advisor, Pb, was more interested in the aliens themselves and of course there was their faithful android Er-no, who had saved them from dangerous situations many times with his useful gadgets.

The door to the small main control room opened with a whoosh.

“Are we there yet?” asked Grix as he entered, wearing a fetching silver space suit with a nice little name badge obviously pinned through it.

“Only 100 light years to go, should be there in no time using the skip-drive’s mondo light speed.” Answered FM offhandedly.

“Well, does that mean that we can stop off at the blue planet I saw on the way? Only, I hadn’t seen it on any of the charts in the science lab and was kind of curious.” Said pb, poking his head round the corner.

“It may be worth scientific investigation, professor Zimmernicker would be interested back on Earth.“ said FM thoughtfully, looking at the scanner. “I’ll feed the details in to the computer…”

FM reached over to Er-no’s chest plate and pressed a few buttons. He pulled out a large blue cassette tape with ‘Earth – Co-ordinates’ written on it from the main computer and put in a see through green cassette in it’s place, taken from Er-no’s chest. Red green and blue lights flicked on and off on the console and a bleeping/whirring noise could be heard in the background. The ship jerked in a slightly different direction as flames appeared from the back like a small firework, it suddenly flew forward, almost seeming to slide through space towards the pastel blue planet in the distance.

--- - -

Grix looked out the portal at the nearing surface of the planet. “why are we going down so fast?”

“It seems that the gravitational pull from this planet is greater in the upper atmosphere due to the higher carbon in the air and the particles of Iron and Uridium being thrown up from the earth.” Responded pb as he read a row of counters that flicked up through a series of two digit numbers, virtually meaningless to everyone else.

“Landing in approximately 20 seconds…” said FM as they all put their seatbelts on.

The craft shuddered as it landed on the planet, almost seeming to be hanging in the air from a wire at times. As it touched down, the whole ship lurched and shook and a groaning noise warned the crew that something was wrong. Suddenly, everyone fell to one side as one of the three small metal legs snapped and the ship tipped over on it’s side.

“I believe we are stuck.” Said Captain FM, looking at the controls. He noticed, to his horror, that the oscilloscope wave had gone into overdrive for a few seconds, then virtually straightened out. “We haven’t got any spare parts that will fix this. I will radio for help, Grix, you and er-no head to that building I noticed in the distance. Take the buggy. We’ll stay to gather supplies and build a camp.”

"Jese, what a great city!" FM said, standing on the bench next to Grix and er-no. "Just look at that skyline!"

Meka, Salevaa and Mouldy Cheese took out pink umbrellas, opened them, and began to swing them around.

The three bring their left hands to their eyes, and peer into the distance.

"You know, I never want to leave this place..." Grix said, leaping down again. "We've got to stay here! Make a new start!"

FM and er-no watched Grix as he jumped away, and ran to the pavement. He began to walk down it, and started to sing.

"Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today!
I want to be a part of it, New York, New York!
These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray,
Right through the very heart of it - New York, New York!"

FM leapt from the bench, and leaned off the lamp-post. He then started to sing too.

"I want to wake up in a city, that doesn't sleep,
And find I'm king of the hill - top of the heap!"

Grix ran away from the pavement, and picked up Meka, and started to dance with him.

er-no jumped down up from the bench, and walked across the top of the wall, and started to sing too.

"These little town blues, are melting away,
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it, in old New York!
If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere,
It's up to you - New York, New York!"

er-no ran off and linked arms with Salevaa and Meka, FM linked arms with Meka and Cheese.

Grix ran forward, and leapt on the bench again, and sang.

"New York, New York!
I want to wake up in a city, that never sleeps,
To find I'm a number one, head of the list,
Cream of the crop at the top of the heap!"

Couples began to pour out of the shops nearby, and swung eachother around dancing.

The five at the front began to kick their legs in the air. Grix resumed singing.

"These little town blues, are melting away,
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it, in old New York
If I can make it there, I'm gonna make it anywhere!
It's up to you, New, York, Neeeeew, Yooooork!"

Everyone threw their hats and umbrellas into the air, the band finished with a triumphant crash.

"Come on guys! We've got a city to explore!" FM announced. He shouted "Bye bye!" to the dancers and band, and the three went off.

pb wandered into a room that looked like a study.

Well, there were bookshelves, full of books, or so it appeared. pb thought that if he went over to them, none of the books would be removeable.

There was also a small writing desk, and on it, a book.

pb opened the book, and read aloud. Not because he couldn't read in his head, but for the benefit of the readers of the story.

"Page 21:

My work on the giant robots is going well. Once they are capable of movement I shall have them begin their work on cultivating the land, and bring some life back to this barren wasteland."

pb skipped a few pages.

"It seems that the robots don't like the new orders I have given them, I don't know why, but they seem to be capable of independent thought"

pb skipped a few more pages

"These giant robots must be stopped! I don't know why I but the laser eyes feature in these robots that were intended for farm and building work. Folly, I guess."

a few pages later

"My mind control powers grow stronger, a ship is being called to our planet. On this ship are beings of great power, I shall call them to me, and have them bring these robots back under my control. Then I shall first rule this planet, then the whole world!"

pb scratched his head. That last bit didn't make much sense, but he now knew why Sniper had been controlling him, but what of these giant robots?

"I know a way out of here" stammered Mouldy Cheese after being relinquished from his hypnotic state.

"Ok," replied Grix, "lead the way."

They walked through the pipelines for what seemed like hours until they saw a shaft of light. The light grew in intensity until it became an opening and the planet's surface could be seen clearly through a large break in the rock.

As they walked out into the light, shielding their eyes from the bright sun, Grix, FM, Er-no and Mouldy Cheese stumbled on to see what their new found freedom had brought them to. Their eyes adjusted slowly after spending so long underground, but they soon wished that they had stayed blind to the sight that now lay before them. Instead of a real world there lay a huge canvas with a scene reminicent of the Empire State Building and the bright light came not from a sun, but from some huge spotlights directed at them.

FM felt his body jump slightly, then Grix felt the same thing. They realised that they had been dressed in sailor suits and that Mouldy Cheese was missing.

-- -

Salevaa sat and thought about how to escape. He looked up and saw Sniper staring at him.

"And how is my little creation doing now?" he laughed.

'what?' thought Salevaa, 'creation?'

"Soon my master plan will be in action and I will take over the Earth with my amazing machines. The whole world will dance to my tune. Bwahahahahahahahahaha!"

Sniper walked back out of the dungeon and looked over a ledge into a large cavern of people standing absolutely still. They all looked like the three members of team B.

-- --

Grix heard the band strike up and felt himself leap onto a nearby bench.

"New york...what a wonderful town..." he started singing as Salevaa, Mouldy Cheese and Meka came in dressed in wigs and dresses. FM and er-no joined Grix on the bench.

Grix opened his eyes widely, and gazed into Cheese's eyes.

He tried to look away, but FM forced him to watch.

Grix kept staring, and didn't blink... and then, began to vibrate his eyes violently.

Mouldy Cheese watched in panic...

Then Grix moved away quickly, raised his fist, and shouted: "DO AS I SAY OR I'LL PUNCH YOU!"

"BAAAHHH!!!" Screamed Cheese. "ALRIGHT!!!..."

Cheese began to blink quickly... and passed out.

"There, he's under our command."

"You know, the comedy value here could be easily wasted." FM said.

"I know... let... let me think..."

---------------

Salevaa picked himself up... his head hurt so much... but... but he felt stronger...

Like no other being! He had... superpowers...

He had become...

...Waste Disposal Man!

He could feel the sewage running through his veins... it had done something to him, something good...

But for some reason, he was in a prison.

"No prison can hold WASTE DISPOSAL MAN!" Shouted... err... Waste Disposal Man.

He ran towards the bars, and tried to bend them out of shape.

Five minutes later, he gave up. Super human strength was obviously not one of his powers.

Damn.

Pb paced up and down the room. He couldn't be sure of what this Sniper guy was up to, with his long flowing robe and seemingly expansive knowledge of the whole planet. He also seemed to have the scout team B under his command. Had they gone against their directive or was it something far more sinister than that?

Pb had noticed Sniper's control over him as soon as Sniper had asked him to do anything. It was not so much like being hypnotised as his mind thinking it was a good idea to do what Sniper said and then his body following suit. Perhaps that was a form of hypnosis after all.

Whatever was going on, pb thought it best to take a look around. For whatever reason, Sniper had left him in an open room, able to come and go when he pleased. Perhaps there was nothing of interest in this place, but it was more likely that Sniper thought he had more control over pb than he did. If there was only some way to communicate with the others and let them know why he had left them in that hole earlier on...

-- --

Grix sat on a rock trying to puzzle his way out the situation. They had Mouldy Cheese with his hands tied behind his back, er-no was watching the now silent passageway and FM was rubbing his head from where the rock had fallen.

“There is, of course, another reason why I didn’t die…” started FM. “That rock wasn’t very heavy. In fact, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say it was made of a polystyrene compound, pb would be able to tell us for sure, if only we knew where he was.”

Grix took his communicator out of his satchel. It looks almost like a large filofax, but with a screen at the top. He punched in a few numbers but only static filled the screen.

“Communications are still down. Anyway, how can we be sure pb didn’t want to kill us?”

“Does not compute, not a logical assumption.” Said Er-no. “Data points to most likely reason being forced to.”

“..and in English?” asked FM, trying to understand Er-no’s slightly more logical and mathematical approach to the language.

“He thinks someone was controlling pb.” Answered Grix. Then thought for a moment. “…which perhaps explains our little problem here…” he pointed to Cheese, who was sitting looking blankly at the water, oblivious to the conversation.

“Grix, you know that little party trick you do?” asked FM suddenly.

“What, with my flies and the elephant noise?”

“No, the other one. You know, the hypnotism trick….”

Grix got the idea FM was suggesting and they got Mouldy Cheese to look into Grix’s eyes.

"BEEP" thought Cheese... the first time he's featured in a FoG story, and it's bloody confusing. These people were making no sense...

From what he had overheard from his captors, they had crash landed on this strange planet that had a BEEPing swear filter, and a strange feeling of being watched all the time. They had gone out to look for supplys, some guy called pb (Panicking Bogroll, Cheese guessed) had tried to kill them all, and they had killed him. Cheese and his Team B crew had captured them, imprisoned them, and then let them escape. They had ran to this cave place, and then they captured Cheese and made him dance to that BEEPing BEEP music. They were now looking around in the cave, for no discernable reason.

---

A rock in the roof of the cave shudders, and becomes dislodged

---

The group now consisted of er-no the robot, Grix, FM the porn star (well...not really, this was just Grix's dream) and Cheese the handsome, well endowed captive. All four of them were walking through a murkey cave tunnel. Er-no had started to malfunction again, and was now pretending to be Tyler Durdan from Fight Club.

"You are not your BEEPing Khakis" said er-no, seemingly addressing Cheese.

"I know that you stupid robot. You've told me it thrice in the last minute. I accept it. Can't you just try to be another character? Tyler is very quotable and all, but you do know that at the end of the film you find out he's BEEP BEEP. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. Woah, this place even has a spoiler filter. That could come in handy."

--

The rock on the cave roof is now hanging on by a thread. A very rocky thread, that you would be hard pushed to fit through a needle.

--

Grix and FM, walking ahead of er-no and Cheese (who was tied to the robot), were having an altogher different conversation.

Grix was talking at the moment.

"This cave looks big enough to have something really big inside"

---

The rock is almost falling off now

---

FM looked at Grix, more than a bit annoyed.

"Are you hitting on me again Grix?"

"No. I'm just saying that, seeing as we don't actually know what built this cave, and we dont know whether it still lives here or not, i'm just wondering if it's a good idea to go wandering about in here".

"Good point that. I'll take it under consideration."

---

The rook falls. Onto FM. Onto that place in the skull that makes you die if it gets touched. You know, the one we made up earlier.

FM falls to the floor, looking pretty dead. Cheese would later remark, under interrogation, that FM 'looked as dead as a doorknob'.

Which, to be honest, was complete BEEP, unless these new fangled doorknobs are actually alive.

FM sat up. Alive. Not dead at all.

Grix looked confused.

"Why the hell are you not dead? Saleeeeaeaeava, or whatever he is, died from getting hit there.

FM smiled, and replied with those two immortal words.

"Noteable Power".

Strafex should like this style better!

Cheese continued to run through the dark and gloomy hallways as the trio gain on him with every passing second. There is a fork in the "road" and Cheese goes right. He bumps into No, FM and Grix and falls back. They approach him.

"Thought you could try and kill us eh?", asks Grix as they get in even closer. "The weasel has finally been captured and we're going to take you down."

"Guys - you don't understand...", announces Cheese, before being abruptly cut off by FM's voice.

"Save your energy - you're going to need it for what's going to happen to you."

FM walks over to Er-No's chestplate and presses a few buttons. It's Raining Men by Geri Halliwell plays.

"Now dance!", demands FM.

Cheese begins to dance as the others snigger at him.

45 MINUTES LATER

"Ok - that's enough! Come with us - you may be useful...", announces FM.

"What for?", asks Grix.

FM coughs - "A shield..."

Grix says, "So, what's our plan from here?"

"I say we have a look around - there could be useful supplies in here.", replies FM.

Grix, er-no and FM ran through the sludge, further and further, until they came to an opening in the tunnel...

It didn't lead outside, but into a huge cavern, with pillars and archs running up and holding the ceiling in place.

"Crikey, you could swing a giant robot of doom in here!" Said er-no.

As er-no turned around, he saw Grix and FM were in a bed, nude, with the sheets over them.

"Oh for God's sake... our humour hasn't got that low already, has it?" er-no asked.

"Sorry." Grix said, as he got out again and put his clothes back on, which for some reason had reappeared again in the past few scenes.

"Yeah, kinda makes you glad to be where you are, doesn't it?" FM said.

They could still hear booming as they began to explore the huge cavern...

"Hey! Look at this!"

Grix and er-no walked to where FM was... "Look, on the wall, a painting!"

They looked up... yup, FM was right. There was a painting... a horde of silver people, carrying large hammers, and several clouds in the sky.

"How very nice."

"Freeze, suckers!"

They turned. Salevaa and Mouldy Cheese were standing by the entrance to the cavern...

"Put your hands in the air!"

Oddly, the whole room began to shake, much more violently than before...

"Did you notice that?" Grix asked.

"What?"

"The subtle hint that the plots going to take a change for the worse?"

There is a small point on the skull that, when even the smallest amount of pressure is applied to, can crack open the skull, and expose the brain. This often kills, instantly.

This was unknown of, until today. Unfortunatly, because of the speed in which it happened, it wasn't actually recorded where this spot is.

A small piece of grit fell from the ceiling, and hit this spot on Salevaas head.

He splashed into the sewage, and floated a bit.

Mouldy Cheese turned to his companion, to see what had happened...

A large shadow fell over Cheese...

Grix, FM and er-no watched in horror as a huge human like automated machine of quite obvious destruction towered over Cheese.

He dropped his gun and ran up the opposite alleyway.

Grix, FM and er-no followed him...

...But they had forgotten about Salevaa... and the sewage began to seep through his skull and into his brain...

Salevaa, lay on the floor unconsious.

In this state he dreamed.

He found himself in a dark nothingness.
It was just black. He called out but heard no reply.
It wasn't long before he saw something.

A bright angelic figure came to him.

"Greetings," said she "I am the spirit of FoG Story past."

The scene changed to a dark dusty scene where four horsemen stand, talking about how some Starwars online RPG.

"This is how it started. This was meant to be a new article, writen in a story style for entertainment."

Salevaa watched as an argument broke out between Sniper and Sheepy and they traded Starwars themed attacks in an RPG style.

"Before this, there were no story's in FoG."

Salevaa looked at her.

"Your point being..."

"None yet, but if we're going to spoof the Christmas spirits from Christmas carol, we might as well do it properly."

With that, she disappeared with all the visions and Salevaa found himself in darkness again.

After a while, a fat jolly man appeared.

"The spirit of FoG story present?"

"Yes. That is me."

The scene turned into a 17 year old, looking at the screen, perplexed.
"This here is Grix Thraves who created the FoG Story's. As of lately, the last few have been getting lost and wrecked. He's thought very hard about how to fix them, but now a new problem has come up."

He pointed to the screen.

"One poster is writing the story in the script style which is not only out of sync with the rest of the posts, it's also tricky to follow and visualise. It's giving him a bit of a head ache!"

Salevaa looked at the screen.

"And that poster is... oh... me. You're over exadurating. They're easily managing to keep up with my posts. A slightly different style won't change things. Who are YOU TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO?"

The figure was gone. Salevaa had been left alone in this room.

Unsurprisingly, a dark figure soon appeared.
"Show me the future then" huffed an indignant Salevaa.
The scene changed to a computer...

The Dark figure pointed to the screen.
Salevaa went to the computer and looked at the screen.
It was internet explorer, opened on he SR website.

It was the FoG story page. But something was wrong.
Only some of the posts were story posts. The rest seemed to be... complaints...

Too many people were getting lost and confused by the plots which were going in all sorts of directions at once.
There were desperate attempts by Grix to pull it together, but everything had got confused and chaotic beyond repair.

Salevaa clicked to the next page and read more posts.
All the writers were leaving, one by one, completely sick and fed up of the chaos. Desperate posts by Grix begged them to stay and help work things out but they knew as well as he did that there was no hope for the story.

He clicked to the last page.
The last post was by Grix.
The FoG stories didn't work anymore, so it had been decided that there wouldn't be another. After just over a year of writing, the FoG stories were finished for good.

"And what has this got to do with me?"

The dark figure went to the keyboard and typed in a reply box.

IT IS A LACK OF COMMUNICATION THAT OFTEN ENDS WITH THIS CONFUSION. SCRIPT STYLE WRITING WAS DIFFICULT TO INTERPRET, VISUALISE, AND UNDERSTAND SO IT LED THE STORY INTO SO MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS THAT THE WHOLE THING FELL APART.

STILL, THIS FUTURA HASN'T ACTUALLY HAPPENED YET. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO EITHER.

And after reading that, the scene disappeared and Salevaa found himself on a bed with Meka and Mouldy Cheese trying to talk to him.

"What happened Salevaa? How did they escape?"

Salevaa remembered.

"::Salevaa walks over to the cell::

Salevaa - Yes?

Grix - We are innocent! We never committed..."

He kicked himself, remembering what the spirits had shown him.

"I was guarding the cell when Fantasy Meister faked a serious injury. I thought it was genuine, ran in to help and then I was knocked unconsious from behind and awoke here."

'that went rather well' Salevaa thought to himself 'from now on I'll stop using that Script style want write the FoG story like a Story!'

***Note to Salevaa:

The script style is a bit annoying, try to write in a story style, it makes it easier for other people to follow.

pb knew that something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it, until Sniper put his fingers on him.

When Sniper had handed pb a cup of water, Sniper's hands had been fine.

The Sniper he first saw on the ship had had a deformed hand.

What was up with that? thought pb.

---------------

Meka Dragon recieved word of the escaped prisoners.

"Go get them, and shoot to kill!" said Meka over the intercom to Salevaa and Mouldy Cheese.

Meka looked out of the window, and in the distance he could see a huge figure heading towards them.

"Second thoughts, set phasers to stun, we might need them"

Both Salevaa and Mouldy Cheese confirmed that they had recieved the message, and Meka headed off to his secret bunker.

---------------

"This doesn't make sense, first off this sewage is a funny colour" said er-no

"Sorry, lack of budget" replied Grix, then he scratched his head, unaware of why he had said what he said, or what it even meant.

"Well I don't want to hang around here all day, let's head along that passage, and try to get back to some fresh air" said FM.

With that they set off underground, stopping every now and then when the heard what sounded like huge booming footsteps.
