boy this forum really died

PSO is on the Xbox but its supposedly very dated compared to modern RPG's so I won't be touching it with anyone else's ten foot barge pole :) I am anticipating Metroid Prime more than anything else this month but I am also looking forward to Resident Evil Zero as well as my Xbox games.

Timesplitters 2 is an absolutley appauling game anyway and the Xbox version ran fine at a solid 60fps. The controls were reasonable and the game was Dolby Digital encoded (this didn't make it a solid game though). What was better about the GameCube version as I haven't wasted my time or money renting both? The single player is positively one of the worst I have ever played and as I am not into multi-players the game went to waste. Metal Gear Solid Substance I have read is better on the Xbox with crisper and sharper visuals as well as the Xbox exclusive material (even though it is released for the PS2 again?!) and it supports full Dolby Digital 5.1! Unless IGN and the reviews so far have tricked me by saying the Xbox version is better then I will have to wait and see next Friday when it is released.

So far it has been stated as better than Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PS2 and that was good enough for me so I am looking forward to it in a VERY big way. I did complete the PS2 version 3 times as well as collecting about 97% of all Dog Tags but the additional material looks great and I am not going to miss out on it.

I'll grant you that MOST of the time, the X-Box has better releases. But 9/10 is a statistic that's just way too high. For example, Timesplitters 2 is best on GameCube - whereas MGS2: Substance is best on PS2. Tony Hawk's 4 is arguably better on the PS2, due to the controller and many games (e.g. FIFA) are exactly the same on all formats.

9 times out of 10 the Xbox has the better Multi Platform games. To be honest Mav you don't need to justify the GameCube releases because those who don't want to know don't need to know. March will see me purchase Metroid Prime and Resident Evil Zero and then soon after Skies of Arcadia and the new Zelda Game. Aside from those (and they are VERY special) I will be getting Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Shenmue 2X. Super Monkey Ball 2 took my interest whilst I was browsing around Cube-Europe but I feel that there are too many other games that I want and if I have the cash spare (i.e. If I win the lottery etc etc) then I will pick it up. In April I want to pick up Pikmin and Super Smash Brothers for the GameCube when the Budget range is released so over the next few months there is a LOT of games which interest me greatly.
