I have a rather interesting story about my history with this game. One of my mates went out and bought this game on boxing day and a few days later brought it round to my house so we could play on it. Itlooked brill, the graphics were amazing and the action looked superb. Then I had a go, and I was absoloutely awful. I couldn't even kill one lousy spinny guy in the air. (grim reaper type thingies). Then, for some daft reason, I went out and bought it, it must have been peer pressure. To my surprise I was alright at the game, but I have only played it for a little bit. I'm up to the 4th level, (you can stop laughing now), and I was stuck on that spider for god damn ages. (And I know he appears again in the 4th level, and about 2-3 times more). Anyway, I still think it's a brilliant game, but a tad hard for people who aren't used to the games genre and style. Sinced my last console was an N64 not many games like Devil May Cry are on it, us N64 fans are used to the Mario 64 and Zelda style games, not Devil May Cry. Anyway, a
it's a brill game and I reccomend it to anyone.

Thanks for the advice Darkreaper but I only have 1118 red orbs, I dont even have a vital star as I used it in the battle with Nelo Angelo and I dont even have the stinger move so it looks like I'm stuck or is it time I brought in the infinite health cheat from an action replay 2, though the bad thing is that I dont have one.

The first time i started Mission 5 i got blendered in a matter of seconds. It took me about 2 goes after that to finally beat the pair of them. The only advice i can give when fighting shadows with devil trigger ability is to buy a Holy water. Attack just one shadow until it revelas it's orb and use the "stigner" skill as much as you can until the other shadow comes near then use the holy water. The other shadow will reveal their orb (if done at the right time) and the other shadow will take quite a bit of damage, hopefully pushing it into the red. Then just wait for it to die and you only have one (weakened) shadow to deal with.
Just one more thing, when a shadow turns red, it will not take any damage but it will explode itslef after about 15-30 seconds. If you make sure that both shaodws are near each other when one explodes the other one will take damage from this.
Hope this helps, as you will have to fight more shadows further on in the game.

I finally beat Nelo Angelo but now I'm in the even harder Mission 5, my life is dercreasing with time and I have to fight two shadows to unlock the bedroom door, it might take another week to this mission.

On "Dante Must Die" mode it's best to use the Sparda sword throw-out the game. It does a lot more damage than the Gaultlets and the other sword.

I just killed him on 'dante must die!' using the Sparda sword, and he didn't hit me once.. but i got hit a lot by 'death scissors' damnit, lowered my rank, couldn't be bothered to do it again.

so far on dante must die! my ranks are as follows - A S A B S S A

i need to kill phantom in the circle bit now, and alastor doesn't scratch him very much.
