I recently got a ps2 for xmas :) with a game(f1) but decfided to purchase another game Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3. When i got it home and put it in to my machine i played it for an hour non stop, then decided to play f1. I had cleared my old memory card which had 1mb on when i came to save it it wouldn't because i had an old memory card i had enough space on it but it didn't let me save it. So now i have to go out and shell out £25 just for a memory card. Why did't sony just make the machine compatible with both cards it would save a lot of difficulty, or do what the xbox is doig putting hard drives in that will save money on memory and will never have to worry about it.

I've had my PS2 since launch day and consequentially have bought about 25 games. Still, I have not the need to buy another - so they are worth the money you pay.

No offence or anything but do u no how much it costs for 8mb on a mp3 player? yes £7.50 now all they need to do is put it in the case and add a bit of programming they should be selling it for £20 at most.

Its because the new memory cards are Magicgate (whatever that is). They use a different format to normal PS1 memory cards. Yes, it is a con, but you can fit nearly 30 saves on it instead of just 15. Oh, and I hope you got your copy of Tony Hawk 3 from HMV, 'cos I saw the PS2 version in there yesterday for only £30!!!
