Well one way might be to say something that I'm about to say...

I'm thinking of picking up a GC as soon as tomorrow.
A couple that haven't stopped breathing might now be thinking "why the change of heart ?"

The most obvious reason is that I have flu right now so chances are its the words of a sick bloke ranting.

The other is that I've been laying in bed thinking back to games I played such as Metroid and Zelda and how there are times I'd like to play them again (but of course in they're new forms). Afterall, at the end of the day I am a gamer, not a fanboy and I've grown up with Nintendo games.

I might also look into a Gameboy Advance SP towards the end of the month with some of the classic Snes games that are out or coming out.

If I get a GC, this is what I'm thinking of grabbing...
Black GC
Extra controller (black of course)
Resident Evil
Resident Evil Zero
Mario Sunshine
Advanced scart lead (for best pic and sound quality)

Then of course I'll pick up Metroid Prime and Zelda as they come out. Don't need a memory card as I have the one from when I had the GC before. Anyway, thats the current thing going through my head.
Blame my credit card taunting me while I'm ill for this happening.
Right, well I'm off to ponder more on this and decide on how I'm going to pay for it all if I decide to go shopping tomorrow.

I might pick up Pikmin in the summer when my gf is over. Are the controls and stuff simple ?
My gf hasn't played games for ages so she gets lost a bit easy. Shes fine with gun games and Tetris because they're simple to jump into. She got a bit lost with the 3D Zelda games but she used to really like the old Zelda games on the Nes and Snes, so I'm guessing the new cel shaded one will be a little easier for her to get into.

Pokemon rules, I hope they hurry up and release details of the Gamecube version.

You should get Pikmin anyway, you will love it really. And your girl is bound to like it...

Any self respecting gamer, and especially ones who buy so many games, should get Killer 7, PN03, Viewtiful Joe and Dead Phoenix.

And Pikmin 2, it's two player too, get the original on budget.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

It's a lot like SoM, and four player too.

Afro - excluding Monkeyball 2 and Smash Bros - I have those games on my X-Box. ;-)

Monkeyball I'll probably give a miss because the first one drove me bloody insane and I really did end up hating it. So the sequel is probably a bad idea. ;-)
Smash Bros...Hmmmmmmmmmm, not sure about that one but I probably won't bother with it.

As for SOM being in the making - if it is then I'll probably be racing faster than anyone else to get it as its a game that remains one of my all time favourites. The graphics were great for the time, excellent story, excellent characters, 3 player, bloody good music, etc.
Severely urinated over the likes of Final Fantasy in my opinion.

I'm not too sure whether the new design is going to hinder the connection between the GC and GBA, but it doesn't stop the connection between GBA's and GBA SP's. We will have to wait and see in 2 weeks time.

BTW are you planning to get Zelda GBA?
