I think you will find that I did not state that at all. I wrote that it was suspect (it is), and then I suggested it was a little dig, followed by "any chance?" - Note the question mark there. I wouldn't be so daft as to state some thing like that as a fact - when we are all reading from the screen and may not "get" the context in which is was designed. However, I did catch my eye - and I would suggest to you that if a lot of people saw that wrote in a paper or book, they may also think it suspect. So to avoid such situations, I would suggest you don't write it in the first place.

I would also say that when you try and "lop all East area's together " (ie, east london, or east UK or east asia) it doesn't work well since your saying in effect that anyone in the east of anywhere is the target. Why is East worse than West, South, or North area's? I picked up and suggested "Eastern counties" because of the tense International situation at the moment - which most if not all people are aware of, but I could of easily said East of somewhere else.
