My eleventh's in precious and secret and paste
My twelfth is in phantom and spectre and haste
My whole stalks the night in a quiet dreamlike state
With no memories the next day of being out late

His wife was in a horrible accident and on life support. There was a power cut and the lights went out. When the backup generator failed to come on, he knew his wife had kicked the proverbial bucket.
