What is it with all these "I'm leaving" and "Please stay!" topics?!?

I'm not just having a go at SCAMPS here, loads of these have been done in the past and they are starting to get on my nerves.

Do you just do it because you want to see how many people will beg you to stay?

Is it all part of some big Copularity Pontest?

If it is, then it's pathetic!

It's simple, if you're not enjoying the forums, leave. Don't worry about it. We all run dry of ideas sooner or later. Just take a couple of weeks off, leave the forums for a bit and then come back full of ideas.

Look at FM. He disappeared for a while, came back and won GAD twice in a couple of days.

You don't need to announce that you're leaving, and you don't have to stay gone if you do go. You CAN come back you know.

If you find you're not enjoying the place as much now as when you first got here, just quietly disappear for a little while, have fun over Christmas and New Year, then come back and see if you enjoy it again.

*cough* I never disappeared, I just didn't post a lot as I was playing Planetarion and Legend of Mir online. I still came back here everyday to read what was written though, it's part of my routine...

Even if they're not enjoying it?

Surely that defeats the whole purpose!

Anyway, if I wanted to leave hear for a while, I wouldn't stay just because some people who I've never met (and never will) ask me to!

If they want to go, let them. You can't force someone to do something that they don't want to.

I started it all off too, I should be ashamed.

And only because I was bored and wanted the forums to liven up a bit.

Damnit.
