What is it with all these "I'm leaving" and "Please stay!" topics?!?

I'm not just having a go at SCAMPS here, loads of these have been done in the past and they are starting to get on my nerves.

Do you just do it because you want to see how many people will beg you to stay?

Is it all part of some big Copularity Pontest?

If it is, then it's pathetic!

It's simple, if you're not enjoying the forums, leave. Don't worry about it. We all run dry of ideas sooner or later. Just take a couple of weeks off, leave the forums for a bit and then come back full of ideas.

Look at FM. He disappeared for a while, came back and won GAD twice in a couple of days.

You don't need to announce that you're leaving, and you don't have to stay gone if you do go. You CAN come back you know.

If you find you're not enjoying the place as much now as when you first got here, just quietly disappear for a little while, have fun over Christmas and New Year, then come back and see if you enjoy it again.

If I'm going away for a bit I would tell people, as I know some people would complain, "where's Ant?" "Why has he gone, he's supposed to be a Notable!" etc.

But I won't leave anyway. {:) Unless I'm on holiday of course.

BUT, the topics which are basically, "Say good stuff about me or I'll leave," I think are stupid and I usually don't bother commenting.

Yea. I totally agree.

I mean, its his choice. Leave. Then Leave. Don't cry. Don't attention seek. Personally I think you should just not come on the forums or ignore the people that don't like you.

Its not like you have to have a fight with them or anything.


If you want to leave. Then just bloody leave.
