Now this is an interesting question. I can buy Denilson, or Van der Vaart, which one should I go for?
And, how much did you cheat to get that line-up?
Lugwig, I am going to critically analyse all of your players. Remember, this is just my opinion.
First Team:
GK Buffon - Can't go wrong with him, young for a goalie.
DL Silvestre - Meh, not the best choice, but you have spent enough elsewhere.
DR Thuram - Ooh, bad choice. Dunno how much you got him for, but I'm guessing over £5 million. After a sesson his value drops like a stone, as do his stats.
DC Ferdinand - Good, but takes a while to develop.
DC Nesta - Meh. Best in the game CURRENTLY, but if you had just waited till Coloccinis loan had ended, you would have got a younger, better Maldini. And Maldini is better than Nesta at the beginning of the game.
DMC Vieira - Best DM in the game except perhaps Arteta because he is 6 years younger.
LW Duff - Well. Wrong choice again. Duff's stats look good, but he doesn't play half as well as Denilson does or Ronaldinho will in a season. And why do you play him when you have VAN DER VAART?
RW Simao - Excellent choice.
AMC Veron - Good, but again old, not going to last more than about 3 seasons in your first team. Deco is a better option, you can get him for minimum of £8 million.
SC Del Piero - AAAAAAARGH! NO! Don't buy Del Piero! You got him for, what, £40 million or something? NOOOOO! He is so not the best option! You want trickery, get Ronaldinho. You want free kicks, get Recoba. You want influence, get Raul. Pace, get Shevchenko. He is like 28 or something, so old for a striker! You need a young player, I recommend Adriano. Complete forward if ever I saw one, and only 20.
SC Van Nistelrooy - Excellent player.
As for the squad of the future, the only players that develop into great stuff are van der Vaart, Rooney, Ronaldo, Reyes, Mexes, and Quaresma. And most of them take over 5 years to develop, by which time most of your current squad will have retired! I would add Ameobi, Mido, Arteta, Cavenaghi, D'Alessandro and Kaka to that list. Especially Kaka.

zanetti is overated, he is not good in the game at all! so i thought i'd make a good £20mil out of him!! got mancini as a replacement so i was ok in the end

Meh, Simao wasn't bad in mine. In fact, he never had a bad rating and he was never complaining.
But Mido, oh my God.
Whatever I offered him didn't satisfy him for more than two weeks, he was unhappy because he disliked me and Cavenaghi, he went to the papers all the time, complaining about me, and when I sold Van der Vaart, he was the first to put his view forward that I was a fool. His morale was always crap, and he kept complaining that he wasn't in the first team after I bought Cavenaghi.
But he did score a million goals.
