Rehearsed tonight and managed to knock myself out by smashing myself in the face with a drumstick whilst playing.

ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

I smashed my fase wiv a stik.
For real.

Mid-song, head down and hi-hat being pounded and then....BAM!!....on my back with the other 3 standing over me laughing and dripping tea on my face when I came to.
Excellent.

And then I did it again on the car boot loading up at the end of the evening, didn't knock myself out this time, just threw up lavishly on the ground outside and stumbled around like an Astronaut on the moon.
Some would call me stupid.
Others would admire me for my willingness to test the limits of the human face.
Most would shrug and say "Bloody drummers"

But I don't care.
After weeks of saying it,I did smash my fase wiv a stik

And it really, really hurt.

Ok, for those that seemed to have missed the point:

I did this by accident.
I get into my playing and have an unusual playing style (worked for Keith Moon).
My head got in the way and BLAM, I go out for a little bit.

It's not big or clever, but damned if it wasn't rock.
I'll probably do it again, I usually split my hands open.

It was an amusing footnote to my continual "smash wiv stick" posts I have made.

Sheesh....

And this is who we have to represent us as a Notable. Perhaps we should rethink the selection process. Well if you enjoy masochism then I suppose that's your thing, but just make sure you don't attack any unwilling victims and don't blame anyone else when you lose the ability to play games or do anything else after all the brain damage. Oh and think of the people who will have to care for your barely sentient self if the worst should happen.

Anyway I thought Rock died many years ago when Pop stole it. Mind you there is a lot of music that is Pop and the only music that isn't Pop is the music which no one has heard of or which is rubbish (or both).

Imagine the scene:
Live Aid 2002, Parker playing Wembley Arena, mental drummer knocks himself out, crowd goes wild, "Again, again" they chant.

Exactly! How could any record company resist a band who can knock themselves unconscious mid song? I mean, just think of the live entertainment - the crowds will flock!

You my friend, are a genius. How you are not the biggest rock group in the world is beyond me entirely! I am currently plotting ways to knock myself unconscious (accidentally) with my guitar next time i go on stage.

Self-deprecating humour maybe, but certainly irony.

To date, I have knocked out 3 people including myself on 4 seperate occasions (one of those tonight).
It's not like I walk about trying to injure myself, it just happened.

It's the majesty of rock, what can I say?
