So, I decided after looking at this thread, it needed editing.
Morrowind discussion, discuss about Morrowind.
Pretty straight forward really.
Tell us your Morrowind storys, cool stuff you've done ect.

Same here. Morrowind is a breath of fresh air when compared to the traditional RPG with its random battles every 3 minutes and dungeon-heavy goblin slaying.
I actually found Morrowind to be less beardy than most RPG's I'd played, to be honest. Part of the appeal was that you weren't force-fed a storyline and a quest to complete, you were just thrown into the game world and left to yourself. Instead of "You must defeat the Evil Wizard of Jiz, start your quest by looking for the long lost sword of Erectile Dysfunction in the caves of Terrible Innuendo" it was just "Here's our game. Do what you find fun."
Until Morrowind, I never really had any interest at all in RPG's. I didn't have a clue what any of the numbers meant in Morrowind, but for the most part I didn't need to. One thing I did like was that advances in skills were linked to your use of those skills. No more beardy experience points for killing earthworms and butterflies. If you want to get better at lockpicking, you actually have to go and damn well pick some locks!
Sure, it has elves, magic, orcs, etc - but you don't really need to understand or take any notice of most of these elements to enjoy the game. They tend to fade into the background.

I see no woodelves and level 5 pixies in Shenmue. Shenmue's just a normal game, an aquired taste but there's no real 'nerdy' elements.
The characters are so much more intresting and the game's just 10 times better. I guess the whole Japanease setting and Kung-Fu film like story intrest me a hell of a lot more than a beardy land of wizards and spells.
All opinion though.

Nerdy vibe?
Destroy your life?
This makes me laugh.
How much time do you guys spend on Xbox Live running round in circles blowing each other up?
Having played Morrowind extensively, I'm struggling to go back to any other game. And why?
Because Morrowind gives the player the freedom to make choices and to be creative.
I'm sick of being led by the nose.
And I'm tired of finishing games in 10 hours.
No doubt you all can't wait for Fable....
This I don't understand.
Should think it's one of the, if not the nerdiest game i've ever played as well.
I'm sure once I get into it it'll be great, it's just taking too damn long to get going. I look at a rat funny and I die, where's the fun in that? no game is gonna beat me tho ....
