So, I decided after looking at this thread, it needed editing.
Morrowind discussion, discuss about Morrowind.
Pretty straight forward really.
Tell us your Morrowind storys, cool stuff you've done ect.
Morrowind on my PC with huge numbers of plugins etc is under 3GB.
You turn into a werewolf every night, I think.
As for the codebook question, I'm not entirely sure. I know that there's some tension between the fighter's guild and the thieves guild, and I'm almost certain that at some point in each you have to kill the leader of the other, as well as other 'betrayals'. I've never tried to rise to the top of both with the same character, so I can't really say for sure where the problems lie and if there are workarounds.
I know there are more quests in each faction than you need to reach the top rank, so possibly there are other quests somewhere you can do? There are Fighter's guilds in Sadrith Mora, Vivec and Balmora as well as Ald-ruhn, so try them all before risking a quest which will screw things up for you.
However, Sottilde won't give me the book as it apparently contains incriminating evidence regarding a link between the Fighter's Guild, Cammona Tong and Skooma Trade. She told me to decide where my loyalties lie. Now I'm no supporter of the Cammona Tong, so my personal moralistic judgement (something you're encouraged to keep at heart when playing, for a fuller experience apparently) tells me to side with her and the rest of the Thieves Guild.
So I journeyed to Ald Rhunn for alternative Fighter's Guild quests, but it seems that I must make the rank of Swordsman before I am able to do the duties there. However, the man I spoke to seemed to know all about this conspiracy, telling me it was down to the new Guildmaster. He also advised me to get the code book from Sottilde ("she's a pushover, you can convince her... but don't kill her"). I trusted him, so I returned.
However, no matter how much admiring or intimidating I did, she just wouldn't hand it over. So I'm in a bit of a pickle. I don't want to help the Cammona Tong, nor betray the Thieve's Guild, but to progress as a fighter, this mission seems vital. Does anyone know of a way that I could complete this mission, without feeding the conspiracy?
An alternative route perhaps? I don't want to kill Sottilde...
It's at the top of onyx hall, Tel Fyr, in a closet. It's worth 150 000, i think.

If by that you mean can I roam the night ripping limb from limb warthogs and other inhabitants, then yes. You can even make yourself howl after you slaughter someone.
But not backflip.
Werewolves are cool. Can you do backflips on the roof of a van?
It takes a while to get to become a WW through the main quest but it's worth the perserverance.

I think there's an answer to this earlier in the thread: something about an amulet of true sight (counteracting the blindness). Also if you were to enchant an item with Constant night vision, that would work too.
