My question is:
What could possibly oppose God's will?
So really, Devil did sort of challenge God, and God came out on top. The Devil is very powerful, nearly as powerful as God. I have felt him trying to stop me becoming a Christian, but God's power was bigger, and I am still a Christian.
Really? Can you prove that?
:)
Just thinking I shouldn't have really replied but what the hell? (hmm)
I got given out this leaflet by some really really Christian Religious group... it listed things that if you were or did you weren't getting into heaven well let me tell you something, God's going to be bloody lonely if thats the rules hes got for his house.
I do plan on reading the Bible like boyo Goatboy... then I can pick specific examples and back-up my points of challenging it.
From what I've read, only parts, its seems to be full of contradictions.

No, the devil challenged Jesus in those examples, not God.
Also, if Jesus had those powers and didn't use them, then he didn't deserve them!
What's the point in having something if you're not going to use it?
The Devil put Jesus on top of a building and told him to jump off, as God would send angels to save him. Jesus said no, saying you should not test God.
And finally, the Devil showed Jesus a mirage of thousands of people bowing down to him, and a hugh kingdom with all the riches in the world. Devil said he would have all this, if he bowed down and worshipped him. Jesus said no, and that you should only follow God's will, not anyone else's. The Devil then gave up.

"So there can be nothing to oppose his will, otherwise that means he is not infallible and almighty."
Ah right, see what you're getting at now.
I'll point out that I'm not religious in any way. Not that it should matter, but I just felt like pointing it out.
But if I remember correctly, the Devil was banished by God... so opposition means nothing to Him, as it can quickly be discarded.
If the Devil had in anyway challenged God and won, then that would be a different matter.
Like chess. If the Devil and God played chess, then God would always win.
It must rock to be God.
If you believe in God, then he is the ultimate force, the omnipotent master of creation and the absolute highest of powers.
So there can be nothing to oppose his will, otherwise that means he is not infallible and almighty.
