My question is:
What could possibly oppose God's will?
If god is omnipotent, can he make a rock he cannot lift?
If he can then he CAN'T lift something
and if he CAN'T he cant create everything.
Just to whet your crusadder apetite. Lol.
The bible is however, a loada crock. god may be there but the book is silly. It says whoever changes the word of this book shall be cursed, yet the book has been translated thousands of times.
And god made us live short lives, and made us all speak different laguages. But he loves us doesnt he? Why be so mean?
PS most people think the devil is gods evil equal, the yang to his yin. But he was only an angel, so he cant have too much power. People misinterpret SO much..........
When I said I wanted to read the Bible, influenced by Goatboy it was merely as interest as it is the oldest and populary book ever... so why not read it then critise it... who knows maybe I'll turn all religious after a read, I VERY much doubt it, I was just saying I can then justify my reasons about the bible after reading it.
Its just when you said, I can't remember exactly, just the classing people as if everyone was religious it set me off even though I probably got wrong end of stick.
Another factor that angers me about religion is it is something everyone should share in come (who is religous) so they might be bit different, they should respect other people's like their own.
Like Cathlics and Prodesents (sp) in my area, makes me sick... or "Holy Wars", which I'm sure most people condone but I can't stop thinking its religions fault... look at us, good net mates having a petty tiff over religion, still we'll settle it and that'll be that... don't need to beat each other up, wipe races from planet or have wars...
Anyway staryed from subject.

So the question is: WHO

*SIGH* The Devil was at first an Angel! God let him exist because he was an angel, a very powerful one at that. The Devil rebelled, and God sent him away. I'm not sure what happens then, either The Devil created his own little place, hell, or God actually sent him there, and then sent all the sinners down to him.
The Devil is the real devil. The Devil promotes everything bad. God promotes that you do good. Why else would he send sinners to hell?
We are responsible for all evil in the world. He gave us free will to believe in him or not, but he who does not believe in him will probably be punished. I'm not too sure though, I mean, people like Goatboy are good people Grix, Sheepy, lots of people I know are good people but aren't Christians. I guess we'll have to wait to we find out.

That is a very bad idea. Anyone who has a niggling curiosity to seek

I don't mind Sheepy reading the bible, not at all. I wish that more people on here could become Christians, and reading the Bible is certainly a way. But I get the feeling that people are JUST going to point out the contradictions. It seems to me as thought that's all their looking for.
So the question is: WHO IS THE REAL DEVIL?

That is a very bad idea. Anyone who has a niggling curiosity to seek religious enlightenment, or to try to find out what different actually believed in should be encouraged to research these topics and decide for themselves what they believe. If he reads the bible and only finds contradictions, he has missed the point of the bible, but it has to be said that the bible does make many contradictions.
I do plan on reading the Bible like boyo

Look Sheepy, is there really any point? Hey, you don't believe in Christianity, that's fine by me. I respect your views, and I'm not going to try and force you to change them. It just seems to me that people who read the Bible just to find bad things and contradictions, are just trying to prove that they are 'right.'
Why not just leave it? If you don't believe in it, just ignore it.

No, the devil challenged Jesus in those

Also, if Jesus had those powers and didn't use them, then

What's the point in having something if you're not

He did use it though, just read about all the miracles he did in the Bible. But, he didn't use them then, as they would've been for himself.
And when the Devil challenged Jesus, he did sort of challenge God, as Jesus was the Son Of God, who basically is the human form of God.
