What cars have you got? What cars did you start with? How do you find them?
I am just going to learn to drive and had wanted a mini since i was about 8! But i think it may be expensive for my first car. How many of you smashed up your first car?

Started with a little Morris Traveller (the ones with the wooden back). Very reliable, but also very basic.
Had many cars since then, but current one is a Seat Altea, pretty spacious for the kids and us, but still packs a fair punch with the foot down. Has the full sport kit and alloys etc as well, oh and built in Bluetooth, heated seats etc...

I've yet to learn to drive actually. My brothers can drive, unfortunately they've both had their crashes. Sadly my older brother lost his fiancee in one, she was 22.
I might start taking lessons later this year if I can. I'm sure I'll be a careful driver and I'll avoid buying cheap cars because my younger brother is on his 4th car. One he crashed because the breaks failed.
After you pass your test, can you do further training that would help reduce your insurance? God I had no idea how expensive it could be. I heard theirs a scheme where you pay insurance when you use your car. So obviously it'll cost more if you're out every night.
