Sweet Lord.
T'would be cool.
Okay, okay.
It should be exaclty the same weight as air, so it'll just float exactly where you leave it. Unless there's a wind blowing ....
Drat.
Ahem: It should weigh as much as a ferret in in toupee.

Strangely I was thinking about this the other day - I came to the conclusion that you could just push the sticks into the console, pull them out again when needed.

Lighter than air? Better make sure you don't drop it, because you're never seeing it again.
And I always said they should use discs, but apparently by using discs you bump the cost of the hardware up. Needs a motor, see.
If it folds over gba style it could cary it off.
Then again if it'll have an analgoue stick or two it'll need to be bigger still (can't fold on top of the sticks, so it'll need to overlap on one half).
TV connection? That's what my PS2 and cube are for. A nice feature, but essential? In a *portable* machine? Come on...
I think I'll save judgement for when we have more details.

Sony have an unparalleled track record in the console industry and I have no doubt that they know exactly what they're doing. The reason the likes of the Wonderswan, Lynx and Neogeo pocket failed is because of the company behind them - Sony will make this big and will do whatever it takes to make the PSP a success.
The introduction of a bit of competition for the GBA should be welcome, hopefully forcing Nintendo to release some more original content and reduce the price of the over expensive games.
I'm holding final judgement until we see it, get final specs and see the thing running, but I'm certainly optomistic!

Connecting a 'portable' machine should be essential for it to connect to a TV? But that kinda defeats the purpose of the portability! If I wanted games to play through my TV I'd use a proper console!
:)
I just hope that with these advances in technology, that developers don't forget about what makes a portable game!
