It's very amaturishly written, but he seemed to have a blast with the game. Anybody else got their hands on this game early? What'd you think of it?

I wouldn't really class myself as an Average gamer. I play quite a lot of games including strange ones and I play Counter Strike a lot which is for the more dedicated gamer.
They have a much broader knowledge of games than the 'average gamer'. They play ALL the games released - across all formats (including the obscure ones, such as Arcade games and GP32). Whatsmore, these are people that have been doing this all their lives with every console ever released - and this is documented in their superb retro section and reviews.
Their not saying dismiss Enter The Matrix completely - they've given it 4/10, just one below average - but they are saying it really isn't a good effort against the standard expected today. Perhaps die-hard fans may take a look at it when it goes cheap, kind of thing.

Broadn Knoweldge? Mav they play games like every other gamer. They don't know anything more than me and you about games and at the end of the day it is one persons judgement. A 4/10 game I wouldn't even look at never mind Rent. Its a good job I didn't listen to them as I really like Enter the Matrix.
They rated the Xbox version. And it's a fair score, judging by standards today. It's incredibly linear, repetitive, short, poorly executed and has shoddy controls and graphics. It's fun for a while, but only really needs to be played for it's plot.
Personally, I'd give it 5/10 (average) - but I don't have such a broad knowledge as they do, so I trust their judgement.

4/10? You trust this magazine and they gave Enter the Matrix 4/10?! Thats ridiculous it is easy a 7/10 game from the Xbox version. I know the PS2 version is rather 'different' so to speak but the game is still very enjoyable.
Just got GamesTM. They gave the game 4/10. Perhaps a bit harsh - but they're judging by all-format industry standards so fairly conclusive, I'd say.

oops, forgot to ask this. has anyone else completed the game yet? when you do there's this long clip from reloaded/revised. which one is it? is it revised?? cause at one part Neo says something like "this ends now"
a new version? what's in it? stuff about the other films i'm guessing...
