Ahem, I mean X-Box. Probably get the deal from SR, console + 4 games, then probably stick Enter The Matrix on top of that, and possibly the small controller (since the big one is crap) Not bad for £250, considering I spent £215 on my PS2 and only got one game, an extra controller and a memory card.

Does the X-Box need memory cards? I noticed they're for sale, but doesn't the hard drive cover save spaces? Is it so you can transfer saved games from one console to the other? Some X-Box nerd, help me out.

OMG u must be stupid to think, pc control settings are like console control settings because some games are best suited to only a controller or the mouse keyboard set up in up coming games like Half life 2 and plenty of strategy games.

W is my secondary walk key, and S my back key, I just find that using the right button for walk to be quicker for me, and the middle button (ie. pressing in the scroll wheel) is handy enough for Alternate fire.

I want to thank those who posted earlier with good reasoned contributions.
But as anyone can see this discussion is beginning to deteriorate.

"Walk/Run: Right Mouse Button
Shoot: Left Mouse Button
Alternate Fire: Middle Mouse Button
Jump: Space
Strafe: A & D
Lean: S & F
Use: Return
Change Weapons: Scroll Wheel"

You're weird.

WASD for up, strafe left, down, strafe right. E for use, Q or mouse wheel to scroll through weapons. Left control to duck, space to jump. Left click for fire, right for alt fire. F and G for leaning left and right. The BEST game configuration you'll ever play. Going back after using this is like going back to only using the curser keys and control to fire.

I could have done a 360 degree spin no proble with a mouse.

I'm guessing you're one of the fools who uses the keyboard to turn and move.

Were talking about FPS games. not management sims. I have already said strategy games are better on pc and would happily include management sims.

Having played, quake III dreamcast vs PC, I would agree with you. Aimingwise that is. I did outmanouver my PC playing friend many times however, we still talk about a very memorable move where i did a 180 degree jump down and round some curved stairs, punched him in the head, killing him. Whereas he actually had a gun and I was on about 5 health.
On a PC i wouldn't have accomplished that to the same degree. I still think a controller gives better 360 degree movement. However PC mouse does produce faster aiming. Currently Halo is designed around the xbox controllers aiming, having Pc mouse aiming would change the game dramatically. But I don't think halo is designed for mouse aiming, although a mouse speed change may rectify this, I would still say the 360 degree movement would be better with a controller than a keyboard

Have you ever played a managing game on the pc? Like Championship manager. Well have you ever played a game like that with a controll pad. It is highly awkward to move and aim the cursor with an analouge stick. WIth a mouse it is as easy as point and click. not fiddle around abit then press a.
