Ahem, I mean X-Box. Probably get the deal from SR, console + 4 games, then probably stick Enter The Matrix on top of that, and possibly the small controller (since the big one is crap) Not bad for £250, considering I spent £215 on my PS2 and only got one game, an extra controller and a memory card.

Does the X-Box need memory cards? I noticed they're for sale, but doesn't the hard drive cover save spaces? Is it so you can transfer saved games from one console to the other? Some X-Box nerd, help me out.

The S-pad buttons are much kinder on you fingers because they are flat and not rounded like the normal pads, so if your planning on playing a button intensive game (like DOAXBV) for a long time then your much better off getting an S-pad. Its probably worth getting a green X-Box, because although they cost £30 more, you get two S-controllers. Thats if you can put up with the yucky colour.

It's gigantic for starters.

I'll be getting an S when I get my Xbox too. The normal one is so uncomfortable.

actually I've just viewed the small pad, and must agree it is much better to have the black and white buttons lower down like that. games like ssx tricky use them, and they're a pain all the way up there

If you buy one of the (horrible in my opinon) limited edition green X-Boxes, they come with two of the S-Controllers (the little ones) You only need a memory card if you want to take save games round to a mates, some games won't save to the memory card.

Save on the hard drive, memory card for transferring between consoles.

Although I don't actually own an Xbox. :-P
