BBC report on E3 Nintendo performance

"Nintendo's conference was like a retirement home for classic game developers as Toru Iwatani, the brains behind Pac-Man, played on-stage against Mario wunderkind, Shigeru Miyamoto, who is currently working on an all-new Pac-Man title.

Refreshingly self-critical, the assembled masses were told of the mistakes the big N made with marketing the GameCube, and the difficulty the traditionally family-orientated company was having in appealing to modern, gore-obsessed players.

But their president, Satoru Iwata, in a nod to the Grand Theft Auto series, assured Nintendo-philes: "You won't see Mario shoot a hooker".

And while we were assured the GameCube had a rosy future, its successor is already officially in development."

*chuckles*

There's nothing really wrong with that though, as members of this forum prove a vast resource for up-to-the-minute games news as they have many varied contacts. And after all, it's their site, so if some newsflash were written on the forums, they'd be perfectly allowed to slap it in their news section.

Take your GCSE? I thought I'd be able to translate, but found my skills rusty seeing as I've not used it once since leaving college.
But we'll agree to meet in 2017 and then someone can throw random latin at you.

You must accept that sometimes news topics appear in this forum, and then shortly afterwards, the same news appears on Upwire. It is only noticed when the story is pure conjecture though. Don't get so defensive.

GamesPress is pretty good for news, the news FFX-2 press release would suggest FFX-2 is going to be a stunner.

As for forum-news pickings, surely you have once or twice caught news from here, if not more?

I get news where 90% of other games sites get news from; official company sites, press releases, sites like GamesPress.com and other websites. Certainly not the demented ramblings of a chat forum. I don't think you really understand how this works.

Anyway, back to it. I have to go scour the forums for more news.

That's a good reply man.

Totally avoided the question, provided no evidence.

Add some spin and you could be an MP.

I must admit, it does seem like some of the news comes from the forums, or at least, sometime after the 'other' sites.

Meh, no biggie to me anyway.

I can structure my sentences with more aplomb when I feel it's necessary. It is also good practice as I have an English exam on wednesday.

I wouldn't expect you to remember things from 1989. I certainly don't.

You just asked for some Latin, because you think you could "still rustle some up", and I obliged. Whether you can take my GCSE, which I have been studying for the last two years, is of no consequence to me.

Sure, UKchatforums.com is my first port of call for all my gaming news. Righto. Man, at least with Insane Bartender I used to get proper insults...
