Okay, so nintendo have got serious competition when it comes to games consoles.
I personally think that the gamecube is better.
But I want to know if you prefer GAMECUBE or PLAYSTATION 2.
Tell me:
1)What console you prefer
2)Why you prefer it
3)What games you would like to see released on the console.

I prefer the gamecube because it produces 405 MHZ, 6 million-12 million polygons / second, the discs are 8cm diameter and you can play with other people around the world.

I don't like realistic racers anyways. Except this one round my mates house on the PC. It was a Formula 1 racing game, which allowed you to put on loads of cheats, and one was invincibility. Since it had realistic crashes with damage and all that, we just had a huge crash-a-thon! I managed to take out three of another dudes tyres, and smash up most other bits of his car in one crash! You also got to fly if you get your front tyre on their back one! You both go really high then u can watch replays from tons of angles! that was real carmageddon!

But in general I find unrealistic or realistic with a twist racers much more fun. I love waverace, cos although it's relatively realistic it has a twist! I also love Mario Kart and F-Zero! F-Zero is PURE SPEED! not like wipeout or Extreme G with their flashy backdrops and lovely lighting effects... F-Zero is 100% speed!

The GC may also be seen as weak in realistic (read: non-cartoony) fighters. They have Smash Bros. Melee, but people will say it's not the same as Tekken cos it's with cartoon characters. I don't understand those people. How can you NOT like the idea of beating up Pikachu!?!

oh well I've said my piece. Feel free to dissect this frankly godlike piece of writing and try to find what exactly makes it so damn good.

:-) ;-) :-) ;-) :D ;-) :-) ;-) :-)

wow I made a pattern!

No one's having a go at you brederin, I was just saying that Nintendos games are as varied as Sonys. Im not trying to change your views on what you like best, cause at the end of the day that just isn't gonna happen.

PHFT some people are destined to never see sense

Look, I really can't be bothered to argue with any of you right now. I didn't IGNORE the others, I just used them as EXAMPLES. Overall, I prefer the PSX and PS2 to the N64 and GameCube. Got a problem with that? Well, have a go at me then.

That's just an empty argument, Nintendo have got just as much if not more variety in their games. The only type of game Nintendo are lacking are realistic racing games.

I personally prefer the PS2-because of the style of games. I would much prefer MGS to Mario, or Max Payne to Donkey Kong.

Sony have a much wider variety of games, in other words.

Didn't I talk about the class games on GAMECUBE? Shame on me. But I care about the polygons and MHZ because that is what makes the graphics ace!

I agree, nintendo and rare both make super duper games.
I also want the gamecube because they are changing everything not just keeping to the same stuff like the PLAYSTATION 2.

No-one can definitively say which is better, only give their opinions on what they as an individual prefer. I think Nintendo and Rare (both only make games for Ninty consoles) are two of the best Games developers in the world, and they are two of the main reasons I want Nintendo consoles. Nintendo are also one of the most innovative games and console designers around. While Sony use the same controller as they did with PSX for PS2 (even the new name, PlayStation2, is hardly original is it), Nintendo are designing all new stuff, from the controller, to Nintendo expanding into new genres, like their upcoming RTS kinda game Pikmin.

long live Nintendo!
(that's what I think... anyway)
