Can you say retard?
Microsoft is a buisness, just like Nintendo. They have a buisness to run, profit to make ect.
Nintendo have monopolised the gaming market before.
Buisness guys.
Geremi comes on loan from Real Madrid to play at Middlesbourough for 1 season. At the end of the season Man Utd just nip in and say they would like to purchase him. Middlesborough (the smaller club) can not afford what Man Utd will put up for him and therefore the bigger fish wins.
The same has happened in the gaming industry and eventually Microsoft will end up dominating the industry with their money.
Jesus Christ, they imbeciles you have to put up with.
I'm going to explain what we were talking about very simply for you.
The Xbox was a new console with a new company behind it entering the market. People were very skeptical about this. Now, if they hadn't bought out Halo, which tons of people had been waiting for on the PC for 4 years, do you still think it would have sold very well?
Nintendo on the other hand have been around for ages, we have played their fantastic games in the past. Super Metroid, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Kart, Ocarina of Time.
We know that sequels of these fantastic games will be on the Gamecube, so people will buy one for those games regardless of what was avaliable at launch.
It's not that you were talking balls, just that you were talking about the wrong topic entirely.

So tell me, who is more deserving?
A company that's success is based on their own skill and ability to make brillaint games.
Or
A company who uses massive amounts of money to buy brilliant games?

You mean I'm not blind to the tactics any company must use to survive in the games industry ? What do you actually know about Nintendo's history, as in real facts that you know without banging in "Nintendo History" on Google ?
Nintendo tried, and failed to create a monopoly in the 80's, and now based on the fact Microsoft tried to do likewise with the PC OS market, you accuse Microsoft of doing the same with the console industry, despite all the evidence to the contrary, and the fact that Sony have near total monopoly anyway ?
Jeez....take a break and have a Kit Kat.
Nintendo started off making cards as a poor small company. They started making arcade games and then the NES. They are a video games company.
Microsoft make software for businesses. They have vast wealth, they are not a video games company. They use their money to enter video games and annhilate the competition.
Tell me, who makes better games, Nintendo or Microsoft?
Of course Sony aren't a video games company either, but we're not talking about Sony right now.
That is all.

Ah yes, I forgot the Sony and Nintendo are in the market for purely humanitarian reasons, and not for profit.....damn my shortsightedness eh?
Nintendo sought to ahnilate SEGA in the Master System/NES days but that's okay because it was Nintendo, who obviously acted for all mankind.
Take a minute Whitestripes. Nintendo have seen off:
Atari
Mattel
Sega (Three times)
3DO
Atari (Twice)
And survived the entry of Sony and Microsoft into it's market.
You seriously telling any of us it does that without resorting to tactics that would make Bill Gates proud ?
Hint: The answer is not yes.
WS, you seem to be becoming very fanboyish in the space of 2 hours.
Worrying.
