on another note, Updated i totally agree that image plays a huge part, ive said that all along, which is why many gamers dislike the Cube.

This is part of their prob. A console can still be good, without DVD - yes it's true. But with DVD being so popular, when you get reviews, the machine without it will suffer. Same with the games. Some GC stuff is good - but if people think the console is a toy, they won't buy the thing in the first place. Image plays a very big part.
